The week passed be in a blur and I found out that I really enjoyed my time out with Jordan. We talked a lot during our trips to different parts of the island and it was interesting.
Today I decided to take a a walk beside the beach near my condo in my bikini wear. I sighed and inhaled deeply as the water looked so refreshing. I thought back to the conversation I had with my sister earlier. She sounded stressed saying they've been expecting the baby last week but apparently he's (yeah it's a he) is not forthcoming. I was worried for her. I assured her and told her to keep in touch with me. I wished I could be there for her but she has warned me strictly not to bother about her and concentrate fully on my vacation.
The sight of my camera lying lazily on my makeshift picnic lay caught my attention. I immediately took it up and began perusing the pictures I had taken. One caught my attention. It's of a painting that I took. The painting had me so entranced that I was completely mersmired by it. I was glad Jordan took me there. He really knew how to entertain someone.
Tomorrow we are going to meet to discuss his offer of job.I questioned him about the possibility of working for someone for only three months and he said the person I would be working for is coincidentally and fortunately staying here within that period of time and wouldn't be needing my services after he's left.
I guess I could work with that although I don't know the kind of job it is.
Tidying up my picnic food, I made my way to my condo.
I still made myself dinner... A sumptuous one at that. While eating I was reminded of the look on Jordan's face when he tasted my food one particular afternoon. He exhaled and moaned heavily, telling me how good the food tasted.I laughed heartily afterwards and he gave me a strange look which I found slightly unnerving. I have to admit. I'm a really good cook. I learnt that from my mum. While she was alive she was always adamant about me accompanying her and helping her with things while she was in the kitchen. Unsurprisingly I picked up on her good cooking skills. I'm happy I did for situations like this.

Mornings are not always my thing but then I remembered I had an appointment with Jordan this morning to discuss the job with me. I dragged my lazy ass to the door after hearing the bell go off.
"Hey Jordan!" He smirked and ruffled my already messed up hair
"Hey Cassy."Over the past week we had gotten close to be friends and I was grateful for that. I least I had someone familiar to turn to while here.
It was then I noticed that someone was beside him. A women that looked to be in her 30s with short blonde hair and a kind smile on her face. I turned quizzically to Jordan and he seemed to have noticed cause he introduced us. "Hey Cassy, "he said while scratching the back of his neck. He did that when he was uncomfortable.
"This is my mum, Diana. Mum,this is Cassy."She smiled that me and held out her hands for me to take. I took it still in a daze.
I shot Jordan a confused expression.
"I will explain. He whispered . Go and freshen up. We'll wait in the parlour."
I nodded my head ,ursherd them inside and hurried upstaires to freshen up.
I was curious as to why Jordan would bring his mum to my house. The curiosity made finish in less than 10 minutes.
Making my way to them, I noticed that Jordan had already given his mum tea while he held orange juice. I smiled slightly. Jordan was a sticker for anything orange. One of the things I learnt about him this past week.
I took my seat in the single sofa and looked at Jordan. He cleared his throat and began talking.
"So you see Cassy, my mum works as a housekeeper in one of the big houses around here. The owner of the house rarely visits but he came impromptu this time."
I nodded my head to signify that I was listening.
He continued. "He's a very influential man and very picky about his food. The chef who usually cooks his food was fired on some grounds so now he needs a new chef and one that would fit his taste buds. My mum here has to make sure he gets that."
I knew where this was going but I was still a bit skeptical.
"So you want me to come cook for him as a job?"
"Yes dear, Diana spoke. I'm sorry if you find this unnerving but the pay is really good."
I was confused. "But why me? You clearly said he's a picky eater. How would you know that he would like my meals?"
She sighed, "my son here told me about the meal you cooked just two days ago and how delicious it was." I bushed furiously at that and glanced at Jordan. He too had red cheeks. "My son is also a picky eater like my boss and they practically have similar taste buds _that I've noticed. I'm really running out of time and I would really like if you would resume the day after tomorrow."
Wait...wait this was all too rushed.
Her expression took on a gloomy look. "I'm afraid so. My boss is impatient about a new cook and he's been threatening me with my job of I don't find one soon enough."
I felt sorry for her and blatant hatred for whoever her boss was. He's a arrogant unfeeling bastard.
"I have to assure you that the pay is good"and when she told me the amount my eyes nearly bulged out. For just three months. Just to cook!!! f**k yeah!
"I'm doing it."I literally shouted.
She looked taken aback at first but then smiled at me.
Jordan spotted a relieved expression. After his mom had gone, I queried him.
"I was just worried that you would refuse and my mum would loose her job seeing as the job itself does not fit your qualifications, "He said.
I nodded my head at him and reassured him that I'm taking the job.
With that kind of pay. Hell yeah!
