Dad already booked a private cab to take me back to the hotel, my mom kept her icy glare on me the entire time.
As I stood in front of the hotel, Ella's giggling was loud and clear as she walked out, of course side by side with shawn tagging, their conversation came into a halt when they noticed me
"Oh Betty I was about to apologize and to congratulate you" her heels clicked with short strides, "I didn't mean to ruin your dress you know, everyone makes mistakes" she continues, "embarrassing your best friend of all people for that matter, aren't you ashamed" she teased
Her chin stood proudly expecting an apology? My blood boiled even more,my husband stayed silent behind her, he couldn't even defend his wife.
The window popped up again
WOULD YOU LIKE TO START YOUR REVENGE?
"I'm talking to you, don't you dare ignore me" her voice grew impatient, in my previous life, she would act like she was helping and i was too stupid to understand the situations of life
"Stupid girl with a rich background" she whispered low enough to avoid Shawn
Ah, I remembered she always placed emphasis on that particular phrase, I sighed knowing it would be useless arguing over nonsense, her attitude seemed to have changed ever since the wedding, her actions were more bold than I thought.
"Excuse me, I would like to have breakfast with my husband" I offered a rueful grin, grabbing shawn arms and dragged him towards the elevator
"If you don't want news to spread around like the wedding, you should hold on tight" I whispered back to shawn
"I see the reason why your husband won't spend the first night with you" Ella's voice pitched even higher
The attention of the passer-by focused on us, who wouldn't want the tea of a loveless marriage, I tried my best to ignore her
"listen to me" she screamed
I returned a piercing glare, her shivering reaction was enough.
Later in the room
"What's wrong with you" Shawn said calmly as her slyly removed himself from my grasp "you should have apologized to her" he continued
"Apologize?" I scoffed
"Yea, what's so bad about having peace, settling matters between friends"
My lips pursed a thin line, "she tried to ruin your bride's wedding dress and you of all people left me, your bride, alone, standing in the middle of the ceremony escorting a bridesmaid"
"Betty, she's my...." He trailed off, rubbing his temple.
"I don't want you near her and if you can't keep your filthy hands to yourself, you should probably register at a strip club dancing on the pole" I sneered
Shawn scoffed in response "so you want to start our honeymoon with irrational conflicts, fine so be it"
The past week has been hell, shawn turned deaf ears to my warning and Ella kept sneaking in and out of our room. Such effrontery
Shawn and I neither Converse with each other, to avoid the eyes of the media, I had to endure staying in the same room with him. That is until, it was around midnight after a week of silent treatment, we ran out of milk and a midnight movie without a midnight snack would be utterly useless, Shawn was fast asleep or so I thought.
I wore a black slacky shirt and shawn shorts using a shawl to cover the exposed n*****s.
"Where do you think you're going" Shawn gurgled out of his sleep
"None of your business" my tone was curt and sharp. I dashed out of the room, my steps were light on the wooden tile just to avoid making any noise but it seems like the hallway was filled with moans and grunts of couples. The milk served at the hotel gave me 2 days of chugging stomach
The grocery store wasn't far from the hotel, I won't have to worry about being robbed at this hour. The milk glass bottle clicked in a sweet rhythm.
Until I heard loud amounts moaning from our room, the door was left in ajar and the sickening sight wasn't new to me, slowly opening the door.
"Hello Ella" I calmly said, walking towards the kitchen to place the milk
Their sweating bodies swiftly separated, Ella clutched the sheets to her bare chest. My gaze shifted to shawn.
"Betty, I can explain, it's not what it looks like" he begged
I Snickered, "yeah, I understand, Ella, do you mind" she stood up without hesitation taking her clothes off the carpet.
"I'll see you later shawn" Ella winked at him before sneering at me
The room was heavy with silence, the window popped up again
WOULD YOU LIKE TO START YOUR REVENGE?
I guess it's about time, "I would like to start"
INITIATING ALL SCHEMES. PROCESS LOADING
"Wait start what ?" Shawn called me out, I bit my lip thinking what would be the best course of action.
"Babe, I swear I'm sorry. It's not what it looks like" he fell on his knees gripping the hem of my shirt.
A wicked smile played on my lips, "it seems you like rough play" Shawn brows twitched in bewilderment,
"bed now" I commanded, I sat on top of him, "you know we're yet to have our first night" I said in a soothing tone, his rigid facial muscles relaxed until a resounding slap landed on his coarse cheeks, that smug face of his fell as he cupped his pink flushed cheeks
"What the hell" Shawn screamed back at me, "oh, I'll tell you what the hell, you slept with my best friend on the morning of our wedding and as if you haven't gotten enough p***y to f**k you invited her again inside out hotel and not just once Shawn multiple times you dog" I ran out of breath as the words rushed out of my mouth
"You dirty piece of s**t" I spat at him, rolled off him and went straight to get my luggage. I didn't feel any ounce of guilt.
No, it was more of regret, falling for my highschool crush was a decision made of my delusion.
Shawn sat up from the bed, his eyes followed my every move, he knows better not to persuade me especially when he didn't deny all of my claims.
I packed my wine leather suitcase that I had brought, "expect the divorce papers tomorrow morning, I'm sure you'll be more and happy to marry Ella" I slammed the door softly, I was finally out, out of his life, out of the pain of my past life.
The lobby was brightly lit, even when the streets were empty dead silent, I hid my luggage behind the huge brown pole and walked up to the receptionist, "I would like another room"
A lady in her late twenties sat in the confined wooden area, struggling to keep her eyes open. "And for .... What reason ma'am?" she asked as she kept slurring and yawning
