When Mo told me she had concert tickets for tonight yesterday, I didn’t expect Staples Center. Or front row. Or a VIP lanyard hanging from my neck.
VIP lanyard“What the heck is this?” I asked over the house music. “Did you win a radio contest?”
“The tickets showed up in the mail.” She shrugged. “The post office keeps giving me stuff for you even though you moved two months ago.”
Moira was now living in our apartment with her boyfriend Rick after I found a house in Matty’s school zone. Despite vowing we’d live together forever, by the time I was placing furniture in the new property, she’d decided to shack up with her longest relationship to date.
And they were very happy.
