The moment their feet stepped out of the Forbidden Forest, Lyra felt something was wrong.
The air had changed.
The strange silence of the forest disappeared, replaced by the distant sound of movement.

They were spread across the entire entrance of the forest, forming a massive wall of soldiers. Their weapons were drawn, their faces cold and determined. Some stood in their wolf forms, growling lowly, while others remained in their human forms with their claws already extended.
