The Secret Serena Is Hiding
Lyra's POV
"They are looking for Serena."
The moment the words left my mouth, the whole room went still and every eye turned to her, Serena.
For the first time, her smile disappeared, it was not slowly and not playfully, it just vanished.
My heart skipped and then Kael narrowed his eyes at her.
"Why would rogues look for you?" he asked and his voice was sharp but Serena did not answer at once.
She just folded her arms across her chest and then she shrugged.
"Maybe they miss me," she said and her tone sounded light again, it was like this was a joke but then no one laughed.
Then Darius stepped forward and his gaze was hard.
"Tell the truth," he said and then Serena looked at him but she said nothing and the silence grew heavy.
