The Escape That Changes Everything
Lyra's POV
"Serena is gone."
The guard's voice shook but I did not react at once, because I already knew and I felt it.
The moment she disappeared, the moment that shadow swallowed her in front of us, something inside me knew she did not just escape.
She left, on purpose and chaos broke out again.
Voices rose and guards ran in and out, some rushed toward the doors and some rushed toward the walls.
"Search every corner!"
"Check the gates!"
"No one leaves the territory!"
Kael's voice broke through everything.
"How did she escape?" he demanded, no one answered and the guards looked at each other and there were fears in their eyes.
"We… we do not know, Alpha."
Kael then stepped forward and he anger filled his face.
