The Trap I Walk Into

"So this is the last one."
His voice stayed in my head and it echoed again and again and before I could move…Before I could even speak..He disappeared, just like that.
The shadow around him moved and then he was gone, there was no sound and no trace, there was nothing.
My eyes widened and my heart beat fast.
"No…" I whispered and I took a step forward and looked around, searching the trees.
"Come back!" I shouted but there was no answer, only silence, heavy silence.
Serena was still there, standing in front of me and watching me smiling, like she expected this, like this was what she wanted.
