The Attack That Burns the Pack
Lyra's POV
"I came to wake you."
Her words hung in the air and my chest rose fast and then my head spinned.
"What does that mean?" I asked but before she answered, a loud boom shook the ground.
The tunnel trembled and dust fell from above and then I flinched.
"What was that?"
Another blast followed, it was louder and closer and the walls shook again and voices echoed from far above.
Shouts, screams and wars.
My heart jumped.
"The pack," I whispered and she watched me, she wa snot surprised, it was like she knew this would happen.
"They came faster than I thought," she said and my head snapped to her.
"You knew?"
She did not answer and that is was enough.
Anger then rose fast.
"You brought them here!"
