The Circle Closes
Lyra's POV
"She is sending me a message."
The words left my mouth and stayed in the air, no one spoke and the room felt tight, too tight and then Darius looked at the body again.
Then at the mark, then at me and his jaw locked.
"She will not do this again," he said but I heard it, he was not sure, none of us were and Kael stepped closer to me and his voice was low.
"She wants you to react."
"I already am," I said and my chest rose fast.
"I just do not know how to answer."
Darius then turned to his guards.
"Clear the area."
They moved fast, bodies lifted, blood wiped but the mark stayed in my head, burning and sharp..
We left the room and the door shut behind us but it did not shut the feeling, it followed me.
We then walked back in
