Chapter 4: Kim Seon Ho

267 Words
The door opened. And for a moment, it felt like she had walked into the middle of a drama scene, where the lead actor was introduced in the first episode. Kim Seon Ho stood there. The first thing she noticed wasn’t his voice. It was the scent. Warm — subtle, expensive, the kind of cologne that clings to memory more than skin. There was cedar, maybe a hint of amber, something soft beneath it all. Like someone who used to love deeply but learned not to show it. But the man who wore it? He looked like he hadn’t felt warmth in years. His expression was all clean lines and practiced distance — a face that didn’t invite conversation, a posture that didn’t welcome questions. It was almost disorienting. That scent made her think of safety. But his face made her forget how to breathe — not because he was beautiful, but because the expression reminded her of the grim reaper from Goblin. Sharp-jawed and tall, he was dressed casually but screamed rich. Not a wrinkle in sight. His hair fell just right, the kind of precise mess only money and misery could produce. There was something about him that made people instinctively straighten their backs. But Eun Ha Neul didn’t flinch. She met his gaze once — brief, polite — and looked down. “I’m here for the lesson,” she said, voice steady. He stepped aside without a word, holding the door open just wide enough for her to pass. To anyone else, his presence would’ve been unforgettable. To her, it was just Tuesday.
