The First Day

A morning after the declaration came,Antonio and his mother talked at the sala about a thing that they have to talk about.Because their hometown Modling is 23 kilometers away from Vienna,Antonio told his mother that he have to live in one of the palace guards' rooms.So that he don’t have to come home everyday.

Antonio:(sits in front of his mom)Mom can we talk about something?

Clara:About what son?

Antonio:I think I have to live inside the palace mom so that I will not be coming home everyday.Because Vienna is far from here.I'll be ok there because I'll be staying with Alessandro and Johannes.Don't worry I’ll come here every Saturdays and Sundays.

Clara:If that’s the reason,then why I’ll hinder you son?Just be safe and be happy always.

Antonio's siblings heard their conversation from their kitchen and went to them.

George and Claire:(walks and sits beside Antonio)

George:If you’ll be a guard,Can I have one of your swords.

Antonio:Yes if I can.

Claire:Can I also request to you Big bro?

Antonio:Yes,what is it?

Claire:Can you bring us sometimes to the palace so that I can see Princess Diana?

Antonio:Yes.I'll just tell you when.

George and Claire:Thanks big bro(hugs to Antonio)

Antonio:You're welcome (stands)By the way I have to leave now, because the train will depart in 20 minutes.Bye now(picks up his bagage and bag)...

George and Claire:(wave their hands)Bye!

Antonio:(waves his hand and leaves)

When he arrived at the palace he saw the King outside the palace with General Cruz and a man he met in the palace during the declarationThey were watching the arrival of the new ten palace guards.Few moments later

General Cruz whispered to the King while looking to Antonio:

General Cruz:(whispered to the king’s ears) Your majesty,Mr. Woods is here.(Smiles to Antonio)

King:Where is he?(looks to the arriving guards)

General Cruz:That's him! (Points to Antonio)

A few moments later King Gustav and his two companions walked near to approach Antonio.In the other hand,Antonio is a little terrified of what was happening that time.When they were near,the General shouted happily:

General Cruz:Welcome Mr. Woods!Let's talk a little.

Antonio:Oh Hi General.How are you?

General Cruz:Oh we’re fine.By the way,Your majesty this is Mr. Woods

Antonio:(stares to the king and vowed)Your majesty! It’s my pleasure to meet you.

King:It's very nice meeting you Woods.(Shaked hands with Antonio)

General Cruz:By the way Mr. Woods,this is General Felix Cohenberg.He is the leader of the guards here in the

palace.And Felix this is Mr. Woods.

Antonio:Nice meeting you General Cohenberg.

General Cohenberg:Nice meeting you too young man.(shake hands)

King:Let's go inside now and talk.

When they went inside they sat and talked about what happened to Antonio inside the training camp when he was still there.They also talked about the legacy he had made in the camp.

King:If you didn’t know Woods,I heard the greatness that you made inside the camp.Because some of the

facilitators of the camp once went here and talked about you.When I heard it I asked them who is that young

man who have such greatness.I also heard about the supernatural things you’ve made when you’re still there.

You’re such an extraordinary soldier.That's the reason why I selected you as one of my guards.

Antonio:Thank you so much sire for your compliment.

After the few moments of silence,the King remembered something that happened a day ago while the declaration was still ongoing.

King:By the way,are you the one who Edward have punched yesterday?

Antonio:Yes sire,actually that…

King:I’m so sorry for that young man.Maybe he was just not in mood.That will not happen again.

Antonio:There's nothing you have to apologise majesty,you're not the one who punched my face anyways.

I can’t even consider that punch was from a real man.(laughs)

General Cruz:You know sire if that incident didn’t happened here,I’m sure that the damn Prince’s face is now

deformed.This little guy even humbled a six-foot-nine man inside the camp and that’s not just an

ordinary man.It's nightmare,almost all of the trainees even treat him like a god.

King:Oh so you did it when you’re still there?

Antonio:Yes your majesty but I just did that because he was extorting us.He even smacked my friend’s face very

strong.So I taught him a lesson.

King:I didn’t know about that.By the way take a rest now Woods because this afternoon the generals will discuss

with you and with the other new selected guards the rules and regulations.Your duty will be tonight in the

palace's front gate.Generals,go accompany him to his room.I have a very important business yet to finish.

Antonio and the Generals:Goodbye your majesty.

As the king said,the generals accompanied Antonio to his new room.After the generals left,he packed out his things and put it inside the closet.He sleep immediately after he he finished putting his things.When the afternoon came,the generals woke him up,head to the meeting room and discussed about the rules and regulations they have to do.

When they finished discussing the rules and regulations,the evening came.General Cohenberg told them to go back to their rooms and wear their uniforms because their duty will start in any minute.When they came back to the meeting room,General spoke to them.

General Cohenberg:Men!It’s time to go outside now and do your duty.I'll go with you.

The general accompanied the new palace guards to their designated places to be guarded.They were talking while walking towards the outside of the palace:

Tommy:Hi!(points to Alessandro)Are you Alessandro?

Alessandro:Yes!I’m Alessandro.

Tommy:Hi Alessandro I'm Tommy

Alessandro:Yes I know because we were campmates.

Tommy:Oh yes I guess.

A couple of moments later,they arrived at the front door of the palace.The General told Tommy and his friend Fernando to stay,guard there and look for any entruders that will come.They stayed at that place and started their first duty.A few moments later,they came under one of the watwatchtowTheir accompany spoke:

Wolfgang:I think I'll be the next.

General Cohenberg:Yes,you’ll be observing this place from up there Wolfgang.(points the top of the watchtower)

(Lives Wolfgang with the remaining unassigned guards)

Wolfgang:See you after duty guys!

A few moments later when they leaved Wolfgang,they were beside a wall in the castle and General Cohenberg selected three people from the remaining guards.

General:Johann,Gian Carlo and Johannes you’ll be standing here and look if there are any people who'll come here.

The Three:Yes General.

When they came in the other side of the palace,they stopped again and the general selected two of them, Manuel and Lito

General Cohenberg:You'll be assigned here.And you’ll be with Corporal Corelli.

Corporal Corelli:(salute)

Manuel and Lito:Bye General!(talkes with Corporal Corelli)

And finally when they arrived at the front gate the general told Alessandro and Antonio about his experiences

while he was guarding the gate.

General Cohenberg:Here we are at the front gate.I have an advice to you.Make your senses keen so that you’ll not

be victims of any intruders.Because I have guarded here for four years two decades ago and knew that the

coming intruders are very smart.They almost even killed General Cruz when we’re still here.Antonio I have a trust in you.

Antonio:Yes General,We will not let you down.

General Cohenberg:Bye now.I'll be going to my office.

Alessandro and Antonio:Bye general!

Alessandro and Antonio are talking about anything while they were guarding the front gate.They were very happy to where the general assigned them.
