The cool fresh air and bird songs of the morning lulled me from sleep. I thought I’d be awake all night when I went to bed, but evidently the breeze and night noises of the forest had me drifting off while I puzzled over Max. He was admittedly gay. He was gorgeous. He pushed all my relevant buttons. We might even have something in common—besides the cabin, of course. What was I dithering about? Okay, my bad past life notwithstanding.
