I open my eyes to meet the white ceiling of the room. Those white walls are still standing, and the monster is still here. My eyes move to where she was sitting last night and I can no longer see her there. . . I look around quickly as I wonder where she had gone, and I find her standing by the wall to my right. I'm startled the moment my eyes meet her, and I wonder why she must have changed position all of a sudden. She was so comfortable with everything and it made me ponder about it last night.
