Alex held my chin and made me look at him, "Ari, what's wrong?"
I turned away and said, "Nothing is wrong."
"You were thinking about your dad?" He asked.
Damn!I could feel tears rolling down my eyes. I tried to whip my tears when Alex stopped me by holding my hand.
"There is nothing wrong with crying. I know what your dad did to you and your family is wrong but that does not mean that you won't crying. You are feeling upset so you are crying. What's wrong with that?" He asked as he held me closer to him.
"Everything is wrong with crying," I said as I whipped my tears. "Crying only makes you weak. Whenever I cry, I feel weak. I feel sad. I can't concentrate on businesses works. Sometimes, I feel like why am I so sensitive and get emotional for my dad who didn't even think about our family and ran away with all the property," I said as I could feel more water running down my cheeks.
Alex pulled me in a hug and said, "Nothing is wrong being sensitive and emotional. That's a part of you. A part of your famine part. Female's sensitivity and emotions are their beauty so don't get upset over that. Don't you see when new born baby borns, his/her mom hugs the baby and that is what makes their bond so strong. Don't you think that's is so unique and beautiful? Woman are so sensitive and emotional and without doing anything, they can make most things right. Then, why are you worried about being emotional and sensitive?" He said as he hugged me more. "Why are you holding back you tears? That wouldn't make you stronger, right? It would only break more in your heart. You will feel like sad even if you have so much happiness around you."
I burst into tears. I was crying. I never cried like that before. I felt very upset as I remembered how dad used to hurt us. But, I was a bit happy that Alex was supporting me. Alex only said something simple, nothing complicated, yet it was enough words to support me. I never cried on front of anybody and Alex is probably the person who saw me crying. I could feel all the pains that I have been holding for a long times started to fade away. It didn't fade away completely but it made my burden less. "Dad always used to tourcher mom and me."
"What?" Alex asked as he looked angry and worried.
"Mom never report anything to the police because she loves dad but dad . . . He ran away with all the property," I cried. "We didn't even had a proper house," I cried much more harder. "I have to sold all my jewelries to start a business. Even though . . . We are rice now, mom is still not happy. That's how much she loves dad who never even thought of loving her," I cried as I could feel Alex's shirt, soaking wet, from my tears. I pulled away from him as I said, "I am sorry. I shouldn't have cried on your shirt . . ."
Alex pulled me in a hug and said, "It's okay."
I sniffed as I felt him hugged me more closer. There was a knock in the door. I was going to pull away from him but he pulled me more closer to me on his chest, signalling me that he didn't wanted to be appart from him.
"Alex, your sister could be at the door," I said as he pulled away. I quickly pulled away from him and whipped my tears and opened the door as we saw his sister stating near the door, holding a glass of milk.
She smiled at me as I forced a smile at her.
"Alex, your milk," she said as she placed the milk on the table. "So, what were you doing by closing the door, huh?" She asked as she smirked.
"Nothing," I said in a normal voice.
"Nothing huh? I don't think my brother was doing nothing to a beautiful woman like you, Arisa," she said as she came closer to me. "Was he doing something funny to you?"
"Funny?" I asked in confusion.
"Of course not, sis. What are thinking?" Alex asked in annoyance.
"What do you mean by funny? Of course we were not playing some funny games or saying jokes," I said.
"Arisa, I mean that did Alex tried something naughty?" She asked.
"Sis!" Alex yelled again as if he didn't wanted his sister to talk to me about what she was saying.
"Naughty?" I asked in confusion.
"You still didn't understand?" She sighed. "I mean, were you making out with Alex?!" She asked in excitement.
"Sis! I am not going to make out with her by closing the door!" Alex yelled.
"Oh, so you are going to make out with her infront of everybody!?" His sister smirked.
"Sis, you know I am not like that anymore . . ."
"Ew! I don't want to see you swallowing eachother so please make out in your bedroom," she said.
"Sis!"
"Oh, why are you embarrassed. You told me that day that you love Arisa!"
"But, I didn't mean to do those kind of things infront of everybody!"
"Oh, so you are going to kiss her privately, huh? Wow! I hope you don't bit her," she smirked.
"Sis, stop it."
"I feel so sorry for Arisa since she have to be the victim of your bed manners," she laughed.
"Sis, please. You sre embarassing Ari," Alex said.
Alex was right. I was standing in his room in shock about what these brother and sister were talking about. I was blushing a lot.
His sister laughed and then said, "Arisa, I will ask a driver to drop you home."
"I can drive," I said.
"Alright," she said. "Let me escort you to the main entrance. Alex should rest a bit," she said as she lead me out of his room and closed his room door broke the back. We went near the main door and she pulled me in a hug. "Arisa, you don't know how much you have changed Alex."
I pulled away from her and said, "Huh?"
"Alex was a play boy. He used to hang around with different girls different time. I tried to change his behavior but he wouldn't listen. He never used to eat home. He is always in a party or resturant. But after you and him came from Brazil, he seemed to changed a bit. I barely see him with any other girls except you. He seemed to focus on his business work more from before. It is as if like he is trying to be a better man. He even started to eat at home, with a family," she said. "Thank you so much for changing him."
I didn't know what to say. I really didn't know I changed him but I smiled at her and then hugged her again and went out of his house.
