Melisa looked out of the car window with her eyes gazing at the busy city which was bustling with activities that afternoon. Rita could be seen, sitting before the steering wheels, with her earphones on her ears.
She let out a sigh as she caught sight of the young man dressed in black jeans and black short sleeve shirt, stepping out of the hotel.
“He’s coming,” she whispered to Rita.
“Okay,” Rita muttered without looking up.
Melisa held her breath for a moment as she watched Jerry step into the car with his cologne filling her nostrils. A smile appeared on his face as he gazed at the side of her face.
“Why didn’t you come into the hotel?” He asked.
She shot him a cold look and he scoffed and looked away.
“I asked you to leave and never return!” She snapped.
“You don’t own me,” he said with a smirk.
“So, this is blackmail, uh?” She asked angrily.
“Call it whatever you like. How’s my baby?” He asked and her brows gathered.
“Don’t you dare ask about my baby again!” She flared and he chuckled and smacked his lips.
“Guys, go straight to the reason we are here,” Rita voiced out from where she sat.
“I’m here for my money,” he said.
She hissed and gave him an Intimidating look.
“I will give you the money. But trust me, the next time you show your face again, I will kill you,” she warned sternly.
“I’m taking that with me too,” he said with a smile.
She sighed in frustration and looked away from him.
“I will transfer the sum of 20 million naira into Rita’s account. And she will be the one to transfer the money to you,” she said.
“Why should it be Rita’s account?” He asked with a frown.
“To avoid suspicions from her husband,” Rita explained.
He kept silent and heaved a sigh.
“Jerry, I’m warning you, stay away from me! Do not ever show your dirty face again!” She warned.
He laughed and tried to touch her arms. She shoved his hand away and he chuckled and licked his lips seductively.
“Jerry, step out of my car, your time is over,” Rita ordered.
He blew her kisses before stepping out of the car and she heaved a sigh of frustration.
“Gosh, where did you pick this psycho from?” She asked angrily as Rita drove away.
“From the club,” Rita said with laughter.

Standing beside her car, Diana could see Rita's car driving away and a mischievous smile appeared on her face. She tucked her short hair behind her ears as her eyes trailed the young man in black, walking towards the Golden villa hotel. She looked around carefully and crossed over to the other side of the road to catch up with him.
He was about to walk into the hotel gate when she stopped him.
“Hey,” she called enchantingly.
He turned and saw the elegantly dressed ebony lady standing behind him with her face wearing a smile. He made a surprised face as his eyes scanned her body from head to toe, trying to recognize her face.
“No, don’t even think about it. You don’t know me and I don’t know you,” Diana continued as she looked into his eyes.
“Then, what is my business with you?” He asked with a frown.
“Good business. One that will fetch you more money than you can ever imagine,” she whispered into his face and his eyes bulged.

“Evan, it has happened again,” Daren voiced out as he walked into the small office.
“What is it?” Evan asked as he cleared the files from his desk.
“She made another transfer. The sum of 20 million naira left the account this afternoon,” he said as he helped himself on the black swivel chair.
“To the same account?” Evan asked curiously.
“No. But..i think, this is Rita’s account,” he said with his eyes fixed on the phone screen.
Evan sighed and leaned his back on the seat.
“So, what do you think?” He asked.
He kept silent and shrugged.
“Lisa has been spending more than that amount and it shouldn’t be surprising, uh?” Evan asked.
He sighed and scratched the back of his head.
‘I don’t know why I’m having a bad feeling about this,” he said.
“Tell me, what are your thoughts?” Evan asked as he sat up right and placed both hands on the desk.
“I feel like Rita and my wife are up to something,” he said.
Silence fell in for a moment as both men stared at each other deeply.
“So, what should we do? Dig deeper?” Evan asked.
He heaved a sigh and adjusted his tie.
“I think so. It’s time I find out what is wrong with my wife,” he said as he gulped.

In the dim room, the rain splashed against the windows and thunderbolts could be heard as the rain continued to pour down torrentially. In the king sized bed, she laid half unclad with a glass of red wine in her right hand. She looked at the other side of the bed where Dotun was lying, with the duvet spread across his waist as he typed into his phone.
“Babe, I've found all that I’ve been searching for,” she said with a smile.
He raised his head and turned slowly to look at her. She turned to look at him with her lips curved in a thin smile.
“What are you up to this time around?” He asked as he placed his arms akimbo.
“I’m up to something no good,” she said with a chuckle and he grimaced.
“Babe, I found May’s real daddy,” she continued and his brows raised.
He shifted closer to her as he looked at her face abstrusely.
“What..what are you talking about?” He asked in confusion.
“Relax, Melisa is about to get real dirty,” she muttered softly and he sighed.
She kissed his lips softly and pulled away.
“Daren is not May’s father. Lisa paid a man to do the job. You know, I’ve had my eyes on her ever since they arrived in the country. On the night of the party when I saw that young man around her, I knew something was fishy.
All these while, I’ve been stalking her and eavesdropping on her phone conversations. And you know what? My hard work paid off,” she said with satisfaction.
He shook his head in disbelief and scoffed.
“I heard her conversing with Rita on the phone about the return of May’s daddy. He happens to be blackmailing her. I traced her to the Golden Villa hotel just this afternoon, where I found the young handsome man who got her pregnant. As soon as they left, I approached the young man,” she continued with a smile.
“And..and what was the outcome?” He asked impatiently.
“Um..he was reluctant to speak. But then, I dropped my contact and told him that he should call me when he is ready to talk about good business,” she said with a smile.
“So..are you really convinced he is May’s father?” He asked.
“Of course he is. His reactions said it all. Leave it all to me, I know how to get him. He’s only at my fingertip,” she assured with a smile.
“This could mean a lot for us, Diana. I want you to get that young man as soon as possible,” he said exuberantly.
“Relax, babe. You need not worry,” she said with a chuckle as she sipped from her wine.
