Kira's POV My screams filled the dark room as I inhaled in fears avoiding the creature. Shit!! What the hell is this? I gulped and pinned my back on the wall, watching with dim eyes as my hope of existence got crumbled. It's obvious I am dead!! "Kira?!" A deep familiar voice yelled out my name from the passage. Okay, what's happening? I rolled my eyes. "Open this dawn door," he shouted banging hard on the door. Alright,, how am I supposed to open the door now? It's obvious that creature is blocking my way. "Open this damn door or I break it off!" "Dad? I can't get to the door!!" I yelled back within my breath as the creature moved closer. God!! Please save me this time. I promise not to fight again. Yeah, I promised. "How do you mean?" Dad asked baffled and I could sense the confusion in his voice. Shit!! This man is making things worst here. I shivered fearfully as the creature gasped and I felt it's warmth flame. "Dad please help!" I screamed. "Stay save...!" he paused and I scoffed. "...I'm breaking the door already," Dad added and I breathed out. God!! The creature gasped and I whimpered for safety. "I don't wanna die now," I uttered hopelessly. Boom!! The door flung opened and my dad rushed in with a stake in his hands. "What's happening here?" He asked baffled and I inhaled looking around like a puppy. Okay, where's the creature and those strange things? My jaws clenched abruptly in shock. "Kira?! Are you kind of alright?" Dad asked and I gulped. My gaze roamed around the room and I sighed out slowly. "Dammit," Dad yelled throwing away the stake in his hands and pulled me into a tight hug. I huffed really loud and hugged him back. "God, that was really close." "Okay, what's she up to?" Mom asked walking in and I sighed. "She's yet to recover," Dad replied her almost immediately, and she rolled her eyes. "Kira, are you alright?" "What really happened to you?" "You had a bad dream huh?" Gosh, she wanna exhaust me with questions huh? "Hey! Hey! Hey!" Dad called out. "Let her be for now," he added. "She would speak when she's recovered." He concluded and my mom sighed leisurely. "I'm worried," "Come on, she would be fine," Dad assured. "Are you sure?" She demanded and I caught the glimpse of compassion in her eyes. Awwwn, she care so much about me huh? "Yeah!" "Let's be positive," Dad said and disengaged himself from mine. "No one is worth hurting you okay!" He said to my face and I nodded slowly. "Funny, she's acting like some soft daughter," Mom sighed and I rolled my eyes. "Jeez, stop teasing her," Dad defended. "Wanna talk to Daddy now?" "Yeah" I nodded slowly. "I'm all ears, baby," "I had a nightmare" I uttered. "s**t, I said it. How terrible was it?" My mom asked quickly as though she was waiting for me to say that. "So horrible mom. A beast was after me in my dream, when I finally left the Dreamland, I saw pool of blood under my dressing table with a strange creature in reality," I recounted. "What?!" Mom gasped. "Reality??" My parents asked in unison. "Yeah, it was so real." "Dad, like the creature was here," I said with my finger pointed toward the spot where I sighted the creature earlier. "Ouch!" "I'm so sorry honey," "No one is gonna hurt you for Daddy OKAY," He said and I nodded. "Reason you should always say your prayers before going to bed," "I was too tired to pray. I'm sorry, daddy." "Why won't you be tired? When you spent all day fighting everyone," "Come on, mom. I only fought those who angered me." "OK, Daddy wanna go back to bed," "You guys can talk your ass out." He cuts in. "Good night honey" He added and with that he was gone after collecting his stake. Miles' POV "A heart of a warrior should be sailed, it has to have nothing to do with emotions, feelings, and compassions." Barlow instructed. "Humans are mean but tends to conceal their hardness with soft exterior," "You can't be so sure about their motives because their mindset is quite complicated to read." The ragged necromancer finally spoke up and I listened carefully. "They look friendly but are more perilous than a burning flame." "Beware of their tricks and never unveils your real identity to any," "Get close to them but don't get attached," "Stay among them but don't be them," "Make friends with them but don't be friend with them," "Dig into their roots without giving them the glimpse of your mission." "Make them your slave but be their slave," I listened keenly as the Necromancer lashed out those words which are quite confusive. Well, whatever it is I'll figure it out myself I rolled my eyes around and David coughed. What's he up to? Such a failure. I smiled inwardly and he shots me daggers. Poor thing!! It was a grand gathering in the dark space, featuring all the elders of the coven. Each of them was seated round, divulging all the necessary clues I should have to achieve my forthcoming mission. It was almost dawn and soon I would be leaving. "All the necessary, rituals for your victory is done. You're all set for the victory," The necromancer concluded and everyone raised in one accord as we chanted except for David who sat back glaring at me. It's time to leave now. The memories of that hybrid child comes running through my mind and I sighed. He was killed and his blood was used for my rituals. A putrid fanatical ritual that licensed me to walk under the sun without getting burned. I sighed and watched everyone stood taking the black oath. "Come," Dad said after the oath and I hugged him. "We're counting on you," He whispered. "We need the world at all cost, "He added slowly. "I won't disappoint you," I said. "Wrong choice of word," He smirked and rolled my eyes. "The coven, remember," He corrected. "The coven, yeah I won't disappoint the coven." I said. "Be the devil you are," I disengaged from the hug and turned to the Necromancer whose eyes were buried up into the sky and his ugly lips pouted in silent chants. "Miles!!" "Miles!!" "Miles!!" He called out and darkness filled the whole coven, lightenings lumbering acrossed every space and the ground broke opened. Scary sounds echoed eccentrically and I gulped. Suddenly, a tornado pulled me into the dark space and I was gone. ??? I landed hard on the ground, my eyes scanned around in a swift glance as I stretched to my feet smiling to the sun. "It feels great here." I twisted my neck sideways and tried unveiling my claws. "My powers are intact, oh great," I smiled again and again. Welcome to the world of human, a space where weaklings oppress each other. 'I wish they know what just hit them," I breathed out glancing round with my gaze burning dimly. I sniffed and sensed a strange creature. Swiftly, I spun in rage and my jaws clenched slightly when I sighted the creature. "What the f**k?"
