Chapter 20
Bags was highly intelligent, street smart, and an extremely educated woman. She knew how to read people, and how to play her cards. She knew when to sit still, and when to make a move. Her only issue was the hand of cards life dealt her coming into the world.
Life never gave her the chance she deserved and could have obtained if she were born into a more normal situation. Bags was born addicted to heroin and almost died weighing only a pound at birth.
By the time she was born, her mother already had two kids before the age of twenty-five, and the fourth came only a year after Bags. She never really knew her father, he was in and out of their lives, but when he was there, he was verbally, mentally, and physically abusive to her, as well as anyone else that was around.
