  Simon's POV   He stood before me, his face grim, his posture stiff. I could already tell whatever he was about to say wouldn't be good news.   "Jack's pack launched an attack on our southern border," he began.   My hands clenched into fists. That bastard.   "How bad?" I asked, my voice sharp.   "It was rushed. They didn't have time to organize properly, which worked to our advantage. Not only did we defend our land, but we pushed back and took two of their territories."   A slow smirk crept onto my lips.
