Chapter 61

832 Words

Aisha's POV The moment our car rolled to a halt before Alpha Harold's estate, I braced myself. The courtyard was a blur of movement, warriors hobbling with wounds wrapped in blood-soaked bandages, healers rushing between makeshift treatment tents, and the ever-present scent of antiseptic, sweat, and pain clinging to the air like smoke. Simon had his hand on my back as we stepped out, his presence steady and grounding, though his posture remained guarded. He didn't trust easily, not when his instincts screamed danger. But this mission mattered, for the pack, for the hospital, for all the lives stuck in the crossfire of Jack's territorial greed. "Are you ready?" He asked me quietly. I nodded, though my bones already ached in anticipation of the work ahead. "Let's do this."
