SILENT YEARNINGS

CHAPTER TWO

CRYSTAL POV:

I finally calmed down a little and broke the hug gently.

"What happened? Did Harold hurt you?"she asked wiping my tears with a piece of her gown.

I took a deep breath, steadying myself and replied "Harold cheated. He slept with Anne".

She didn't have time to reply as I heard an angry and booming voice behind me

"He did what?"the voice shouted and turned to see my dad and my uncle both looking shocked.

"He's dead" my dad said coldly and marched towards the honeymoon suit.

"Dad no."I stood up and tried to stop him but he turned around gently and held my shoulders.

"No one makes my baby girl cry and anyone who does will pay." he said in a serious tone.

He turned to my bestie and gave an order that somehow broke me "Estrella. Arrange divorce papers,were ending things tonight".

My bestie replied "Yes Mr. Orion" and immediately brought out her phone. I ran towards her, holding her with a silent plea as she spoke to someone on the phone.

She was one of the greatest young lawyers who specialized in divorce cases and she never lost a case.

"Please don't." I pleaded with weak knees.

She held me tight "Chrystal. I'm sorry but I love you. I won't watch your life be shattered by a man like him" she replied as she guided me downstairs to the wedding hall. I sat down and rested myself on her shoulder and she rubbed my back softly.

I was starting to feel better when my dad and uncle dragged Anne and Harold out.

I was grateful the guests had gone or this would have been a very embarrassing moment for me.

My dad didn't waste anytime and immediately punched Harold right smack on the face. It was so loud that even Anne's mom came out. She was shocked by the sight in front of her and immediately ran to protect her daughter.

"Raymond! What is this? Why are you humiliating her like this?" She asked as she ran towards her daughter.

"Why?! Why?!" My dad shouted in a menacing daughter and immediately punched Harold again.

It's only twice I've seen my dad this angry. It was when my mum died and the killer was caught and today. He never played with a family.

"Your daughter was sleeping with this bastard who married my baby girl. Is this how you raise your child?" He asked in a loud and angry tone that made even my uncle, his younger brother shiver.

"Is that why your embarrassing them like this? Allow them to explain themselves. How are you sure that it wasn't your daughter who wanted this?" She said pointing at me and that earned her a hard slap from my dad.

She immediately fell down and held her cheek. She looked at him in shock.

"I married you not because of love but because my daughter needed a mother and you repay me by raising a slut daughter to seduce her husband" he roared and Anne shiver.

I was shaken as I watched my dad and step-mom argue. Estrella suddenly stood up.

"Where are you going?" I asked her as I held her hand. "The divorce papers are here" she replied and walked to the front door. I sat back down on the chair as I watched Harold try to explain himself.

"Sir. I'm sorry, I was drunk and I wasn't in my right mind" he spoke in a pleading tone. His face was already purple from my dad's punches and i was somehow itching to give him more.

I stood up and walked to Harold and immediately slapped him.

"Drunk? You're a liar. I loved you, I trusted you and you dare do this to me. I f*****g hate you." I shouted as I saw red.

"I would have killed you if she wasn't here"I heard my father say and froze. He would have killed him,if I wasn't here.

Somehow those words made me feel happy. I loved his protection and I was going to use it. I turned to my stepmom and Anne.
