Enzo Fainted

"You can't sleep here, Matthew." She was caught in the middle of her feelings for the man and what would people say if he let a man stay at her house for the night.

"Who said I would be sleeping, baby?" Matthew kissed her again. Hungrily.

It was 2am when Matthew left. His driver picked him up.

A minute later, Gabriel called. She got angry instantly. She cancelled the call. But a text came in.

'Ma'am, your husband was drunk and slept on the counter. Please fetch him, here is the address....' the message said.

'I am not his wife. Not anymore.' murmured Anna.

Gabriel changed her name on his phone from Anna to My Wife.

She dialed Susie's number. It took five long rings before Susie answered.

"Hello, Ate Anna. What's the matter?" Susie asked worriedly. It been a while since she called her.

"Sorry to disturb you at this hour, Susie but your brother was drunk and the bartender called to pick him up. I will send you the address." she said in one go.

"OMG, not again brother." Susie exclaimed. "Okay, Ate Anna. Thank you. Sorry for the inconvenience." she was ashamed because Anna was dragged into her brother's mess , they were not married anymore after all.

Susie and their driver, Mang Nestor, picked Gabriel up from the bar. He was knocked down. The bar staff helped them load him up into her car. Mang Nestor drove Gabriel's car.

On their way home. Gabriel kept on murmuring.

"Anna. Forgive me, Anna... Don't leave me. I love you, Anna." he was so drunk that he stutters.

Susie shook her head. She was sad for what happened on his brother's marriage. But it was his fault. Now he regrets his mistakes. How pathetic.

Weekends. Saturday and Sunday are Gabriel's time for Enzo. Gabriel pick Enzo up in the afternoon of Saturday.

He brought her a piece of buko pie. He said he happened to pass by the coffee shop where they usually bought buko pie before. She was hesitant but in the end, she accepted it but warned him not to do that again.

In the evening, Matthew came with groceries in his hands. He said he will be cooking for dinner. He looked for Enzo because he bought legos for him but she said it was Gabriel's time for Enzo so Enzo went to Gabriel's parents house. Although he has his own condo, he usually bring her son to his parents' house.

While the dish is cooking in the oven, they sat at the bar counter chair. The two of them chatted. Matthew's eyes were full of love for her. He knew he really had fallen in love with Anna. He couldn't resist being near her. He kissed her while holding her face in between his palms like holding a delicate treasure.

Before he could make any advances, the oven timer rang.

After dinner, they continued their passionate session. It was after breakfast the next day when Matthew went back to his place.

Monday.

Marketing team's meeting about the upcoming summer collection catalogue. Marie and Matthew were there.

Anna's phone rang. She was about to turn it off when she noticed it was Enzo's teacher calling.

"Excuse me, I have to get this call." she excused self and went out the conference room.

"Hello, Ms. Torres? What can I help you with, is everything okay?" she asked worriedly.

"Hello, Ms. Anna. Can you please come to school right now? Enzo just fainted. He's in the clinic." the teacher said.

"Yes, Yes, I'm coming right now." she said panicking. This was the first time. Enzo is a healthy kid.

She get back to the conference room and told Marie and Matthew what happened. She got her bag and left.

Matthew came running behind her.

"I go with you." he said.

"No, the company needs you. I will call if anything happens. I'm sure Enzo is okay. I will call you. " she said while entering the elevator.

She hurried to the school clinic. Enzo is still lying down and the doctor and the teacher was there.

"Enzo baby?" she called. She is worrying a lot. Enzo looked pale.

"Ms. Anna, he is conscious now. He fainted during breaktime. We reviewed the cctv but it appears that after he ate, he stood up and felt dizzy and just colapsed." the teacher narrated.

"Is this the first time it happened to him?" the doctor asked. She is now sitting on n the bed side, touching Enzo's face and hand.

"Yes, doctor. He's an active child." she said.

"Are you okay, baby? what are you feeling? Are you hurt somewhere?" she asked worriedly, almost crying.

The boy shook his head.

"Ms. Anna, I would like to suggest to bring him to the hospital for check up. I would refer you to a specialist." The doctor handed her a calling card.

"We'd better be sure than sorry." the teacher added.

After collecting Enzo's things, Anna carried her son to her car and drove off to the hospital and looked for the doctor on the calling card.

The doctor interviewed her on what happened while checking up on Enzo. Then the doctor said the child should be admitted to the hospital for further tests and observation.

The doctor and his assistant conducted series of tests on Enzo.

She was silently praying on the corner. Due to worries, her tears were falling down her eyes silently.

After Enzo was transferred to the private room, she remembered to send a message to Gabriel, as Enzo's father. Then sent a text message to Matthew. Matthew called instantly.

"Matthew..." she sobbed. She was so worried seeing his son on the hospital bed with an IV on his hands.

"Don't you worry, baby. I'm coming. I'm on my way. Be strong okay? Maybe he just suffered from fatigue or exhaustion. They went to park yesterday with his father, remember? Maybe he was just tired." he console her worried heart.

Gabriel is calling Anna but he cannot got through. The operator said the line was busy. He got his car keys and drove off to the hospital as fast as he could.
