As soon as the alarm rang, Julia stood up from the bed , running quickly to the bathroom to freshen up.

After she was done,she hurriedly dressed up in a yellow long sleeve shirt and a blue pinafore.Peeking at herself at the mirror, she ran downstairs with a smile which disappeared as soon as her eyes fell on her stepmother and her doll like daughter. She silently made for the door as if she saw no one. her dad looked up.

"come join us, Julia" he invited her.

His invitation was very tempting but she shook her head in refusal and he sighed as she opened the door and walked out.

"You saw that, Antoine, she's become more stubborn with each passing day, we can even have breakfast together" Stephanie complained sadly.

Antoine shook his head sadly as he softly munched on his food. His eyes landed on his youngest daughter who was eating quietly and slowly with the elegant aura of a well trained lady. More sadness spread through him as he compared the two girls.

Maybe it was time he took Ashley to the company, Julia was irresponsible, strong headed as well as mute,she was absolutely not suitable for handling the affairs of the company, so Ashley was to be the next CEO. He shook his head feeling very heavy feeling disappointed again!!

Julia walked the fifteen miles journey from the house to the farm happily,she picked some stones from the floor which she threw after her. When she got to the farm, she walked around inspecting the tomatoes which were her favorite.

The farm had belonged to her mother,but after she died, Julia only felt it right to take of it.

At the age of seven,she became a large farm owner, because she was still too small,she was only able to grow flowers, but now, the farm was fill with different vegetables,wheat and flowers, but she paid special attention to the tomatoes cause her mom liked to call her little tomato when she was still alive.Julia looked at the wrist watch on her wrist,it was almost eight in the morning and she had a lot of work to do.

She wasn't necessarily busy, but some villagers were coming to get some fresh vegetables from her, mr drake(her nosy friend who was her dad's friend) was finally going to propose to his girlfriend and needed lots of fresh beautiful flowers from her, and she had promised the kids at the orphanage to visit that day. with swift movement she tied her hair into a messy bun before she started harvesting the vegetables. Julia had an employee who resumed an hour before lunch time to help her, she decided to pick only the vegetables so when the employee arrived she would ask her to prepare nice beautiful flowers for Mr drake,so she could go visit the kids that after she was done with the vegetables.

once she was done, she arranged them properly on a long table. sighing she wiped the sweat from her forehead. She looked at the wrist watch again.It was almost eleven and she was yet to have her breakfast. She made a mental note to stop at a restaurant while going to the orphanage. Soon enough after she had harvested the vegetables the villagers wanted to buy,her employee arrived.

"Hey jul" the woman aunty Anna greeted smiling happily.

Julia nodded a response at her,she picked her bag, quickly brought out her phone and typed quickly,she gave the phone to her.

"I'll be going to the orphanage,so you pick out the best colourful flowers for Mr drake,his secretary would come pick up."

Anna read quickly. At first communicating with Julia this way was very awkward at first but she soon got used to her, though mute, she was very kind and caring,Anna saw her as a lovable child and she respected her though she was older than her, but Anna felt respect wasn't necessarily about age. Julia helped the villagers alot. She sometimes gave out free vegetables to the once who couldn't afford it, the prices of her vegetables were very cheap although they were very fresh and well taken care of. Julia was also selfless,she put others before her. All the children in the near by orphanages liked her alot,some little children even called her mommy. Most of the money she realized from the farm went to the orphanage to support the orphans.Anna exhaled deeply."If only she could talk,"with pity she made to start with her chores..

Once she was done, Julia dusted herself quickly and boarded a cab to the orphanage.On the way she saw a roadside shop and she tapped the cab driver to stop, with her hands she gestured at him to wait for her. She bought some snacks for her and some sweet for the children. The children treated the sweet she always bought for them when she visited as rare treasure .Not wanting to keep the driver waiting for too long ,she quickly paid for the sweet and snacks she bought before she ran out quickly. fortunately, the driver was still waiting for her patiently. she realised her breath as she quickly got in, as the driver drove, she brought out her snacks and ate it quickly.

Soon, she arrived at the orphanage.she paid the cab driver after coming out,then she made for the door. The nun who took care of the kids mother Beatrice waved happily at her.

"welcome child" she said happily.

With a nod, Julia walked to her.

"come let's go in," Beatrice took her hand as she went in to the building.At this moment, Julia wondered if Beatrice saw her as her knight in shining armor.

Soon the children gathered around her, she wanted to ask them different questions, their names,how they were and many more, but she couldn't speak so she quietly shared the sweet amongst the children.

"Alright children, go play, go,go play"Beatrice shooed away the children as she felt her discomfort.

"Are you alright, my dear child?? Julia nodded quickly."if you say so child, but one more thing, don't feel sad just because you can't speak, you are a beautiful and kind child and you're no less than other children"Beatrice advised

Julia smiled seeing her treat her as a little child.She brought out her phone and typed on it before handing it over to Beatrice.

"I think i'll see you later, i feel a bit tired,tell the kids i'll come visit later and then we'll play a lot of games together "Beatrice read with a soft smile on her face."don't worry the kids won't be angry, just make sure to come again okay! Julia nodded before hugging her.She quickly left the orphanage feeling quite light headed.
