WAKING

559 Words
It was late in the morning. Ken had long gone for his morning walk, done shopping which is literally just picking wild berries from the forest, collect some fresh eggs from the chicken coop, bought some ham, made some breakfast...and Emily Bryon is still deep asleep in his bed. He reflected on the encounter he had with Emily the previous night. He saw the way Emily fought against him and the d**g he has given her. Emily already knew for a fact that there was no getting away from the situation that she was in, but she kept on fighting and Struggling. Even when her hands and legs got tired of fighting, and gave up, she tried her best to stay awake. She knew she was not strong enough to keep on fighting, but she kept on resisting. Well, the result remains the same, Ken won, Emily lost. Ken was kicked out of his cloud of thoughts when he heard Emily bawl in a disgusted manner. "What the HELL!" She jumps out of the bed, trying to cover herself with a blanket. "Don't worry, you still have your clothes on." Emily c***s her head to the side and tares at Ken with questioning eyes.  "You don't remember what happened last night?" "I have to go" she replies with her voice sending emotions Ken had never seen in Emily before. Confusion and fear. Ken was used to seeing Emily with her usual stone-cold face and zero smiles. Always furious with her environment. There she is, standing in front of him, her face reflecting emotions the Ken is not sure if they suit her.     Ken took some conscious steps toward it like he is trying not to scare away a frightened rabbit. He wanted to know this soft side he did not even know it existed but just the soft side disappeared just as it appeared. He was back to staring at stone-face Emily.  Emily, being snapped back into reality, realizes that she is staring into a pair of green eyes. No,  not green the colour of these eyes cannot be described. It was like She staring at the deep green forest trees in Agon, with the orange sunset slowly enveloping itself amongst the trees, mesmerising you with its warmth and colours. It's just a whole new world that you would happily get lost in.  She takes a conscious step backwards "Why am I here" She says, surprised by how her voice barely sounds like hers. Ken points over to a small wooden round table with just three chairs around it. " Are you crazy?" Emily snaps at Ken's gesture. She walks over to ken and pokes him in the chest with her index finger. Now her temper is so high that she feels like her body is going to explode. "I don't know why I am here, how I got here or why I don't remember what happened to me, but whatever it is, I want you to keep it yourself or I will personally rip out your eyeballs". 'Pff. Violence threats don't work on me honey pie'. Ken thought. With that, Emily storms out of his house slamming the with a BANG so loud that Ken thinks the door is going to break loose.  "Well, that was... smooth?" Ken concludes with his eyes still darting to where Emily left.
