Chapter 17 the unexpected meeting part 2

I slept restlessly. I spent most of the night thinking about Lauren. The feeling I got when I touched her was amazing.

I still didn’t understand why her eyes were silver when I saw her by the river. I mean her eyes were grey normally. They were still beautiful but not what I saw.

I jumped into the shower and put on some loose joggers. Training started at 5:30 till 6:30/7:00 am. It was never enough for me lately. I always went to the gym at lunch when everyone else was eating. I was able to think then. It was the only way I could seem to let off steam.

“And beat the s**t out of stuff!” Lynx said. he was right. We did beat the crap out of stuff.

We headed down stairs and our through the kitchen. I could smell her but not see her. Not that we hung around much. It would look strange and attract too much attention.

We walked straight through and out to the garden, we had to go round the side of the garden to get to the training grounds. There were already a few warriors there and wouldn’t be long till everyone was out.

We started off with sparing in pairs in human form, then moved onto sparing in wolf form. This had to be restricted a bit as if not we could cause serious injuries to each other. I stepped up my game and spared with two wolfs. It made it much more challenging. After a few minutes there were a few wolves spectating rather than sparing.

I didn’t mind too much as they paid attention. All our warriors were pretty strong, but it never hurt to test them. I took down the two I had and another two stepped forward. I nodded in approval, and they came forward. They bowed their heads in respect then began circling me. I took both of them down in less than 5 minutes but one of them required medical attention, so I said enough to sparing. There was still some time before breakfast, so I had an idea.

“Let’s go for a quick patrol!” I commanded though the pack link. Everyone nodded and took formation behind us. We started out on the east border and did a full circle of the pack territory. This took about an hour, so we were well past breakfast time now.

I dismissed everyone and headed to the showers. After changing my clothes, I went to see if there was anything left, I could eat in the dining room. The warriors from this morning were already up there and getting some breakfast. I found that all the baked goods were gone, and it was me that requested them. I was gutted. I grabbed a few pieces of bacon and two remaining sausages. My parents were still at the table talking.

“Your late back son. Is everything ok?” My mother asked me.

“Yeah, everything is fine. We did a patrol after training today and it took us longer than I expected.” I told her.

“Yeah, that was after sending Damon to the hospital!” Arron said. My father looked at me sternly.

“That’s not how we train son. You should be more careful.” He scolded me.

“In his defence Alpha, Damon and Tucker both took on Lynx after he had already done a round of two against one.” Jason defended me. I nodded in agreement.

“Oh right, so you were training wolf form.” Serves them right then if they are going to push your buttons.” My dad said. He apologised to me.

“I will go check on him after breakfast anyway dad.” I told him. I didn’t like it when I hurt anyone from my pack bad.

I kept my word and after breakfast I went to the pack hospital to see if he was ok. Tucker was with Damon and a nurse was there too. They were both being rather pushy with the nurse. As I walked in Tucker was grabbing the nurse's arse. She tried to push him away, but Tucker pushed back harder.

“What on earth do you think you are doing!” I roared. The nurse screamed in shock, but Tucker cowered in fear. He tilted his head and presented his neck. This was to show that he was submitting to my authority.

“Erm…I…Am…sorry Alpha. I was just playing around with the nurse.” He stammered. The nurse was in the corner of the room. She was cowered in fear. I walked over to her and offered her my hand. I helped her up and asked her,

“Are you ok sweetheart?” She nodded her head but was still shaking. “Take the rest of today of sweetheart. If you need anything don’t hesitate to find me ok?” I told her. She nodded and ran out the room. Lynx was up front with me.

“If I ever see or hear of you doing that with anyone again, I will put you in the dungeons myself!” We roared. “That goes for both of you! Do you understand!” I added. They both cowered and showed their necks.

“Yes… Alpha…” they stammered. I walked out the room. That kind of behaviour was barbaric, and I would not tolerate it ever.

“Neither will I!” Lynx added.

I headed back to find my father. I needed to tell him what I had seen and what I had said. I looked at the time 11:30. He would be in his office now so that’s where I went. When I told him about it he was as furious as me. He decided to keep an eye on them just to make sure they heeded my warning. We sat and discussed park affairs for an hour before heading out. My father went to the dining room while I went to the gym. I needed to blow off some steam for sure today. I walked through to the changing rooms and took my stuff out my locker. Once I was changed, I put my other items in my locker and scanned my card to enter the actual gym.

“Mate is here, I can smell her.” Lynx exclaimed in my head. He began bouncing around my head. “Why would she be here?” I questioned him. He must be imagining it. I looked around and that’s when I saw her. She was looking at the weights over on the other side of the gym. She looked absolutely stunning in the gym clothes she had on. It showed all her curves and some skin. Lynx was drooling in my head, and I don’t think I was far behind.

All of a sudden, she sniffed the air, turned around and looked directly at me and our eyes met.
