Lena was missing.
Edward on a number of occasions had tried to get me to consider the possibility that she had simply left without a word but it didn't sit right with me. I had established that the last person she had spoken with was Duke and although he advised that he had shared some upsetting news about Alpha Kyro, I still didn't believe she would leave without telling me. Edward had tried to remind me that she had done it before but truly, I felt that we had reached a level of understanding where she would know that she could ask me and I would respond fairly.
