Rachel laid on the bed in another room, wide eyed. Heart crying the tears that her weary eyes could not continue crying. The moans, screams and laughter from Serena and Chris as they had s*x all night long. Five freaking long years of being married to Chris Damascus. He never so much as gave her a kiss on the cheek, not to talk of making love to her Their marriage was never consummated. Each time she tried to touch him He would recoil with disgust, as though she were a virus. A married Virgin, that's what she was. It was so easy for Chris to pound another woman, make her scream in pleasure while his own wife listened. Rachel wondered if he couldn't have done it outside the house for her, out of respect. But someone who isn't capable of loving her can never have any respect for her either. All night long, they had wild s*x, even when Rachel tried to shut out their voices, she could still hear them. Her eyes remained open until the early hours of the morning when they finally quietened. The sun cast its golden light through the open window onto Rachel's skin. Alerting her of yet another day to go to work as the C of O at the Damascus group. Graduating as the best student in the university, grandma Damascus was more than happy to put Rachel in that position. Despite the troubles in her marital life. Rachel managed to put up with the best font when going to work. With a little dab of make up here and there. Her bruised face was covered and ready to go to work. Show off pretending as the happy wife of Chris Damascus. As she stepped out of the room she was in, she saw Serena, holding a cup of coffee in her hand And wearing one of her most expensive night jackets. Rachel took steady breaths so she didn't lose control. It was clear Serena wore it to get her attention. “Hey bitch.” Serena shouted. Rachel ignored her and continued to the door. Rachel felt something sharp hit the back of her head Serena threw the spoon she used in the coffee cup at her “Didn't you hear me calling you, b***h?” The muscle in Rachel's face tightened as she turned around. Serena was still sipping from the coffee cup “What do you want, Serena? Isn't it enough that you are sleeping with a married man?” Serena smiled broadly. “Married man? Chris was never married to you. Maybe on paper, his grandmother used you as a charity case to expand her business empire.” Rachel smiled wittingly, planning for her comeback. “As long as I am still Mrs Damascus. You'd be nothing, and I repeat, nothing but a ho and mistress.” Her words stung Serena so badly that she raised her hand to strike. This time, Rachel caught it mid air. “Don't even think about it.” She gnarled A golden reflection hit Rachel's eyes. She let go of Serena's hand “Where did you get that?” Serena touched the necklace on her neck gently. “You mean this? Chris gave it to me, as a token of our love.” Rachel's eyes flashed red with anger. That was the necklace grandma Damascus gifted to her on her wedding day to Chris. “You thief, Chris would never give it to you.” She tried to snatch it from Serena's neck, but Serena quickly backed off. “Who are you calling a thief?” “Serena, I am only going to ask you once. Return that necklace to me.” Serena let out a witchy laughter. “Or else what?” She slurred Rachel lurched without thinking, but Serena had a devilish plan of her own She threw the steaming coffee at Rachel. Fortunately for Rachel, she sensed the act just in time to cover her face with her handbag. The hot liquid still touched her arm and burnt her skin. Rachel didn't dwell on the pain, she threw her bag away and jumped on Serena like a vicious cat. “Give me back my necklace.” She screamed. They both scratched at each other, shouting their lungs out Chris walked in on them fighting, and immediately removed Rachel from Serena's top. “Hey, hey, What's going on here? Serena are you alright?” Serena's hair was disheveled like someone who just got struck by lightning. “Ask your crazy wife. She attacked me like a wild dog, called me a thief and started scratching.” Rachel was busy gathering her breath. “She's lying Chris, she stole the necklace that grandma got for me on our wedding day.” Chris's face twisted into an ugly frown, he raised his leg and kicked Rachel in the stomach. “Stupid woman. Is that why you want to hurt the love of my life? Over some crusty necklace from a dying old hag.” Rachel clutched her stomach in pain, the necklace from Serena's neck was wrapped around her hand protectively. “I hate you Rachel, I hate you with every fiber in me.” Chris thundered. He dug his hands into his breast pocket. Threw a paper at her. “I drafted another divorce papers, I want you to sign them, get out of my face and my life.” Rachel coughed uncontrollably. “What if I refuse?” Chris stepped towards her menacingly, his eyes as cold as death itself. He stooped to her level on the ground. Pinched her cheeks so hard that it drew blood “If you don't sign them, I'll make your life more miserable than it ever was. Then you'd pray you never came across me. You'd wish yourself dead, Rachel.”
