Rafe watched Isabella.
She was standing knee deep into the water, her head tilted up into the sky, her hands spread out. The wind blew her hair in every direction, and she swayed from the wind and waves every now and then but she righted herself quickly.
She had asked him to take her to a beach and he couldn't refuse her. He would never. She was finally exploring the outside world for the first time in her life. If she asked to go to space he would find a way and make her go.
He would do anything to keep that glow that has been radiating from her lately.
If he had known this was what coming out would do to her he would have tried to take her out all those years ago. But her illness had been so worse then that he feared if she stepped a foot outside she might collapse.
