Rafe's head was spinning. His mind was jumping from one thought to the other, analyzing everything.
Everything had started from when Selene signed the marriage contract. Rafe and Alexie were the only ones who knew about the contract. Plus Selene of course.
Alexie was Rafe's right hand man. He had known him for years, even before Rafe became capo. Alexie was loyal down to Earth. He had been with Rafe through it all, had held Rafe, had done so many things. What probably could have made him suddenly change and betray Rafe? Nothing, that was his answer.
And so that left him with Selene.
She had come out of nowhere and claimed she had a business proposal for him. If they were business partners she would still be close with him.
And then Rafe had given her a better alternative
