Chapter Forty I pulled up at the drive way and turned off the engine, the whole house looked like it was in pitch black which only added to my worry.  What is going on?  Getting out the car, I closed the door and locked it before heading inside. The door was unlocked, so he was home. Just sitting in the dark, yeah, ok, not creepy at all. I was getting that sickly worrying feeling in the pit of my stomach again. The whole way home, I was fighting a panic attack. What could have possibly happened in the few hours I was gone?  Nothing. Or at least nothing that was my fault. I haven't even been home!  Opening the door, I headed in side. Flipping the light on in the hall way, I dumped my bag down on the side and headed into the house.  'Adam?!' no answer. 'Adam, I'm home! Where are you?'
