Chapter Nine Teen I tried not to let on to Eddie that Adam was home and that I was actually really worried about him being here, but I think he must have sensed my sudden change in mood. The front door opened and closed losudly as if he slammed it and I heard Rory scream ''daddy''.  'I'm sorry Eddie, Excuse me?' He nodded and I left the room. 'What the hell are you doing here?' I scolded him just above a whisper, He just looked at me, raising an eye brow.  'Well, This is MY house so-' 'No, It's mine! And I told you not to bother coming home tonight, I'm sure Darcy will let you crash at hers. I'm sure her legs and her home have the same policy, ''open to any one asks'.'  'Wow, the venum in your voice'. He went to step around me, but I moved and blocked his way.  'I have company. Leave'.  'Who?' That seemed to get his attention.  'A friend. Leave!' I repeated. As My voice got slightly louder, Eddie popped his head out the kitchen door and asked if every thing was ok. As soon as Adam saw him, His face started to turn red.  'Ohhh, I see whats going on'.  'Adam, NOTHING is going on. Eddie brought Sammy over for a play date'. I told him in a warning tone. After that, no one spoke for what seemed like forever. This was so awkward.  I knew Adam was uncomfortable being around Eddie, because Eddie knew our secrets, but I also trusted him when he said that he wasn't going to tell anyone about it.  With out saying any thing, Adam ran up stairs. I excused myself from Eddie and went up to see what he was doing. Making my way to the bed room, I was surprised when I saw he was actually packing a suit case.  'You are actually going to stay with her?' He rolled his eyes, threw down the handfuls of clothes he had and looked at me.  'No! I'm going to stay with Beckett! Don't want to interrupt any more of your precious time with him down stairs'.  'Oh, grow the f**k up Adam! There's nothing going on. He's a friend!'  'Right, and so is Darcy, yet you still seem to have a problem with her. I wonder why that is!'. Shaking my head, too angry to even speak to him any more, I headed back down the stairs, walking past the front room, I looked in on the girls, they were too busy playing tea party to even notice me. Smiling, I went back to the kitchen where Eddie was waiting patiently for me.  'You ok?'  'Yep. I'm perfectly fine'.   'Ooookk'.  'You know what, f**k the cup of tea.' I suddenly blurted out, walking to the fridge, I grabbed a bottle of coca cola, and then a bottle of Jack Daniels off the side before walking back over to Eddie.  'What's this?' He asked with a coy smile. 'Well, you have no plans and my marriage is crumbling so let us have a drink'. He instantly agreed and I poured to (LARGE) Jack and cokes.  I didn't even look up or achnologue Adam as he came down the stairs, said goodbye to Rory and left Eddie didn't mention it either.  Many hours and a few drinks later, The girls were in bed and me and Ed were in the front room, Crashed on the sofas, still downling our drinks and waiting for our Chinese to arrive.  Since they had no plans and Adam wasn't going to be around, Eddie and Sammy decided to stay over... and to be completely honest, I was glad. I really wanted the company...
