16 – Don’t leave me
Everything went crazy, people were still screaming and shouting. Jenny was holding on to me I was holding on to her. I look around my surroundings, I’m so confused, what the f**k is going on? I take a few deep breaths, calm myself down.
Somehow, and I don’t know how, we are all sitting in the hospital. Doug and my dad are talking to a couple of police officers and there are doctors running about all over the place. I take a few more deep breaths and then I remember. Alex. My man. He was shot, Annie shot Alex. Cassie, get a grip. He needs you more now than ever.
I stand up on unsteady feet and head towards my dad.
“Where is Alex?” I ask pulling his arm.
“Baby girl. Sit down. Come with me. Sit and I’ll see if there is an update from the doctors.” My dad leads me
