Isla watched them fighting, her heart pounding in her chest. She pushed through the growing crowd of students, trying desperately to stop the fight.
“Stop it! Both of you!” she shouted, voice rising above the noise.
They weren’t listening.
Rowan threw another punch. Soran dodged and swung back.
“Rowan!” Isla called, stepping closer.
Rowan turned his head to look at her for a split second.
Soran used the opportunity. He landed a hard punch to Rowan’s jaw.
Rowan sneered, blood trickling from his lip. In one swift motion, he grabbed Soran by the collar with both hands and threw him with brutal force.
