Clarimond herself awoke with a fresh resolution in her mind. She dressed rapidly and forsook breakfast in favour of an early walk, her steps turned towards Heatherberry Spinney.
She felt unequal to the demands of the decision which had been placed upon her, unable to determine whether she did right or wrong to resist the importunate demands of Pippin Greensleeves.
