Their home, until recently was New Zealand. They all have the accent that identifies them as not quite from Melbourne. When they speak I notice people listen to pick up where they are from. The changes to this city are extraordinary. When I was a child, Melbourne was dirt streets and timber, ramshackle buildings with the odd stone one here and there. Now there are handsome buildings in the city centre. A General Post Office building on the corner of Elizabeth and Bourke Streets has become a meeting point, an exhibition building is being constructed in the Carlton Gardens to host the Melbourne International Exhibition in 1
