MR. ROBERT POUNDS was not a man who could, with any sense of fairness, be charged with fickleness. He had a very marked personality. Physically, he was sturdily built, but to the casual observer he seemed a dreamy, non-observant person, who could be easily hoodwinked and gulled. But it was only in the seeming, for the person who could gull him would have to be singularly alert.
