Chapter 11

626 Words
MASON I stared at the blank wall in front of me as the brush pasted the paint on the wall. I bristled at the thought of Ali going on a date tonight. But how could I stop her? She was a grown ass woman and who was I to stop her from doing whatever she'd wanted? And I had to remind myself that I was with Andrea. I had already kissed Ali once. I obviously misread all the signs that she was into me because you would not go on a date if you were attracted to someone who you shared a house with. But how was it possible that she had not been into me? There were so many signs. The very intense Pasta debacle that had happened merely a few days ago. The kiss in front of Gran’s room and then when she had removed her shirt in my bedroom. I was so surprised when she had done that. I could have sworn I saw her sniffing my shirt like a teenager with braces having met her celebrity crush and had received a souvenir. And the way she had removed her shirt had been so seductively done. I had been sure she had wanted to lure me into her being. But I was taken by surprise. This didn't seem like something Ali would do. And when I saw her beautiful abdomen and my gaze followed all the way up to those perky breasts of her, disappointingly still hidden in her bra, I had to get out of there. I could feel my pants tighten around the crotch and I really didn't want to make a fool out of myself. And who knows what I would have done to her, given the chance. But, when she came back here, something had changed. Her whole demeanor was different. What had changed in the short amount of time that I was not aware of? While wracking my brain around how the sudden change had caused a weird rift between us, I hadn't even realized how the time had passed. A sudden knock at the front door made me jump and I approached it. I opened the door to find Ryan standing there. Oblivious to why he was here I arched my eyebrows in surprise. “Hey man! Long time, no see. What are you doing here?” He stared at me as if I was supposed to be aware of the situation and chuckled under his breath. “I'm actually here to pick up Ali.” I felt a pang of jealousy hit me like a fist in my gut. Of all the people in the world, it had to be the jackass that lived right next door. Or at least used to live next door. Before I could answer, I heard footsteps approach behind me and I turned around to find Ali walking up to join us. I gawked at the sight of her. She had put on a tightly fitted black number that showed every single voluptuous curve that her sexy body had to offer and black high heels that accentuated her perfectly alluring legs. I was filled with all kinds of dirty thoughts of how badly I wanted to rip those clothes right off of her perfect body and have my way with her. But she hadn't dressed up like that for me. She'd done that for the douchebag waiting by the door. She was rifling for something in her purse and greeting Ryan with a smile. Before she closed the door on me, she gave me one last cold glance. “Don't wait up okay.” I stared at the closed door and I felt the anger seep into my being.
