I heard someone approach the front door and I immediately perked up as there was a knock at the door. I rushed out of the living room that I sat in with all the lights on and opened the front door to reveal Ryan. “Thank God you're here.” I exclaimed, pressing my body against his. He hugged me and pulled away. He looked me up and down while examining my body. “Are you hurt? Where's the intruder?” he asked, tearing his eyes away from my body and deepened his gaze behind me into the rest of the house. I shook my head as I tried my best not to sound crazy. “To be honest, I don't think it was an intruder. I think there's something very wrong with this house.” He immediately stiffened and looked at me again. “Yes. I know.” He shook his head slowly, closing the door behind him. He led me
