CHAPTER 8 FROM THE KITCHEN, Riley heard the growl of a motor crawl into her driveway and putter to a stop. Her stomach gave a lurch. Last night’s disaster was sure to bring a little media retribution her way, and she wasn’t ready to face the probing questions, the same ones she’d been asking herself. Teren had arranged to pick her up early and get her out of the house.
