It was weird how quickly things could start feeling normal again.
Well, I don’t think normal is the right word but I don’t think anything between me and Hayden had ever felt normal.
Hayden and I had gone from talking like strangers to fighting like exes to sitting across from each other in a grimy diner like we belonged there.
And now? Now we texted each other frequently as if we were some old married couple.
