“According to this report, Alan Chase and Melissa Lucca disappeared and may currently be ‘guests’ of the Sixth Family. Or deceased after having been guests.” Derek Daniels leans over his desk at me, his dark beard jutting aggressively.
“That is correct, sir.” I’m composed as I sit in one of my best dark wool suits across from him. None of this ended ideally...but I’m still making a name for myself against Daniels’ wishes, and it’s driving him crazy.
He flaps the pages against his desktop. “Meanwhile, Gianni Lucca was murdered by a presumed Sixth Family assassin for his invading their territory? Simultaneously, Enzo Capurro was murdered by a second mysterious man in Chicago? Wasn’t he about to marry Melissa Lucca?”
I nod. “Yes, sir, as it states in the report.”
