The morning light was gentle, soft, like a whispered promise. Elias stood at the window of the penthouse, his hands resting on the cool glass, his eyes fixed on the horizon. The city below was waking up, the streets filling with people going about their lives. It was peaceful. Beautiful. Everything he had fought to protect. The Primordial One was contained. The fragments were destroyed. The missing piece was gone. The balance was restored. And yet, something was wrong. Elias could feel it in his bones. A nagging sensation, a whisper at the edge of his consciousness that refused to be ignored. The shadow was restless, stirring inside him like a caged animal. Something is not right, the shadow said. The Primordial One's power is contained, but there is something else. Something hidden.
