That was a big one for him. Though it was often a real b***h, the past was also doubled as a great teacher: life had taught him the hard way how quickly a situation could escalate out of control due to the lack of understanding or relaying of relevant information.
His first ever official Dom/Sub relationship had stagnated beneath the absence of structure. They hadn't conveyed their needs to one another. Hadn't understood what they expected or wanted in return. The s*x part was brilliant. They'd mastered that part, but outside of the bedroom, the other elements that were just as important, had taken a backseat.
Looking back with all the years of experience he'd accumulated since he was that cocky young teen, he could see with clarity of how it had been destined to fail.
