The next morning I was driving into the parking lot of pens school. "Mom"
"Yes?"
"Can you walk me into class today?."
I looked at her through the rear view mirror. "Sure baby. Any specific reason?"
She shook her head I parked and helped her out. We walked into the building and I walked with her.
We came to a room with the door open. I stopped at the door penny gave me a long hug. I wonder what's up with her today. I see a few children gape in my direction.. huh?
"Apen your mommy is so pretty!!" A little boy shouted from his seat. These babies are too cute. The boy came up to us. Man this kid was gonna be a looker.
Blond hair, green-blue eyes, he was pretty tall for his age as well . He gave penny a hug making me raise an eyebrow. "Hai Natty" she whispered
"Hai Aspen's mom. I'm Nathaniel, you can call me nath"
"Hello"
I see Nickolas make his way over. "Alright guys. Class is gonna start soon head to your seats. " His voice hummed softly to the children. They obeyed him "bye momma"
"Bye baby." He turned to me smiling. "Jahzelle it's great to see you again"
"Likewise mr.hogan"
"Please call me Nickolas"
"Alright, Nickolas"
I gave him a small smile. If I was a few shades lighter I most definitely would be blushing.
"I hope to have a better day with Aspen. She's a very quiet girl in class."
Huh. She's loud at home. "I see"
He sighed softly running a hand through his hair. "I should probably get going"
"Right! I apologise for keeping you jahzelle."
"It's fine" you can keep me- Jahzelle! Shut up!
I cleared my throat. "Goodbye Nickolas"
"Goodbye Jahzelle."
I rushed to my car. God damn.
Aspen's POV
Momma left I sat down in my seat.
"Ass-pen Ass-pen is a crybaby" The mean girl Hannah teased inbmy ear. I wanted to cry. "No I'm not!"
"Yes you are, and you have ugly eyes, and your have ugly skin"
"Hannah! Go away! Stop bothering penny.." Natty yelled at Hannah.
She was mean to me all day...At resses "Why is Nath even friends with you! Black ugly girl!"
At lunch.."b***h b***h b***h b***h Ass-pen issa b***h b***h b***h b***h n****r" she cursed in a song.. I wanted to tell mr.hogan so bad..I wanted to tell mommy...I was scared.
At the end of the day Hannah pulled my hair and spit gum in. In front of everyone. Mr.hogan pulled us apart.
I couldn't stop crying. Hannah was sent to the office. I cried on me.hogan. "Don't cry my dear.."
"I want my mommy.."
"She's coming honey"
He rubbed my back. I didn't wanna let me.hogan go. He made me feel better. He tried to pull away I held my arms around his neck tighter.
Mr.hogan sighed standing up picking me up. I burying my head in his neck.
I felt him walk out the class.
Jahzelle's POV
I went to work and went on with my day. I was already picking up my babygirl. I waited at the pick up place all the kids ran out except my baby. Maybe she was walking out with Mr.hog- Nikolas again.
I was surprised to see them walking out but penny in his arms. I rushed over. Her eyes were puffy, there was gum in her hair.
She seemed to cry harder once she saw me. I took her from Nickolas. "What the hell happened?!"
She put her face in my neck. "There was an altercation with Aspen and another student."
I knit my eyebrows together "what kind of altercation." I spoke firmly...I was mad.
"H-hannah called me... A.. ugly black girl..She h-it m-me" Aspen whimpered through her cries .
"When!? When baby!?"
"All day"
"Where were you when this happened?!"
He looked taken a back. "What are you implying."
"Where were you when this bullshit! Was happening to my daughter!"
"Watch your mouth." He demanded. "Im gonna beat that little b***h's mother"
I went to storm into the building. Nikolas grabbed my wrist Ignored the sparks that flew. "Don't do something stupid."
I shook him off. "Don't you dare touch me"
"Look I know you're angry. Its not worth it." He spoke so calmly it made me more mad. "You don't even give a f**k! Do you"
"What!?"
"You know what Mr.hogan f**k You."
I turned my back and stormed to my car. Calling the school office about what happened with my daughter.
I took Aspen home she was quiet, my poor baby. You didn't deserve that.
I set up a place on the floor in front of the TV. Full of pillows...I bought candy and food to make my baby feel better. I brought her favorite movies online. I washed her blanket she sleeps with.
She walked around in just her underwear holding her blanket and sucking her thumb. I also warmed up the extra macaroni. We also have her a hair cut since the gun was impossible to remove.
It was cute shoulder length. No longer as long as it was before. I was still livid about the situation.
We sat in the middle of the pillows. "Talk to mommy Aspen... What did that girl do."
She told me what the liitle b***h said to her. I was on the verge of crying. "Don't listen to her Aspen. You're so gorgeous and beautiful. Don't let anyone tell you different."
I kissed her eye lids. "My beautiful babys eyes" Then kissed her all over her face arms and stomach. "My baby's beautiful skin."
She giggled which made me smile. "Mommy!" She squealed. "Why did you tell at me.hogan mommy?"
I sighed. "I don't know...mommy was just mad you got hurt."
"You say sorry to him?"
I shrugged. "I don't know . Momma acted pretttty crazy. He might not like mommy."
"Mr.hogan is nice momma. He made me feel better! I like mr.hogan... and you were mean to him momma."
"I'm sorry penny."
"It's okie. But you have to tell mister sorry too please"
"I will later."
She smiled at me.
