POV: Nyra The sharp clash of blades echoed through the training ring, but Nyra wasn’t holding back anymore. She pivoted, ducked under Torren’s swing, and sent him stumbling with a solid kick to his side. He grunted, landing in the dirt with a low curse. “Damn,” he muttered, spitting out dust. “I blink for one second and you’re already faster.” Nyra offered a hand, helping him up. Her chest heaved, slick with sweat, but her blood sang with something else entirely. Power. It had started days ago—her wolf wasn’t just stirring now. It was present. Watching. Guiding. Her instincts had sharpened like claws, her body stronger, more precise. She could hear distant conversations without meaning to. Smell tension before it even reached her. She was changing. And Kael hadn’t stopped watching.
