Chapter Six

We got everyone out and my dad stepped out on his porch I couldn’t help myself but run to him and hug him I missed him so much. Daddy I’d like you to Liam and his dad pops they were helping me out when we looked down in Texas. Liam , pops this is my dad died of course you remember the kids they were just a lot smaller when I left. Sorry we came a little bit early we even stopped at the hotel to check in and get settled I hope you don’t mind that we also brought dinner. No honey that’s fine you don’t need to worry about showing up without an invitation you’re always welcome here and you know that and it’s good to meet you both Liam and pops my name is George and it’s a pleasure to have you in my home. All right kids let’s get everything around so we can eat dinner and let your mom rest I have a playroom in there for you guys enjoy yourselves. So Bella are you gonna go and see Martin and his family and all the fire hall buddies while you’re here to stay. Yeah I was thinking about getting a hold of them I really want the kids to see Martin’s mom and family I will give him a chance to see them I doubt it will go well but we definitely will stop by and see your family for a hall eventually. Just so you know I heard he has a new girlfriend and she’s not the nicest person and from what I heard from a lot of people he’s back into what are used to be in to just be careful having a little ones around them one want them to get hurt because of something stupid their dad did. As we finished talking and eating I pull out my phone and I push Martin‘s name it takes a whole one ring for him to answer. Hey Bella what can I do for you long time no talk how are the kids. Hey there all right I wanted to let you know we’re back in Pennsylvania and we brought a couple friends with us but I wanted to know if you wanted to see the kids before we went back to Texas. Yeah I love to see the kids I hope you don’t mind I would like to introduce him to my girlfriend we’re been going out for a while and it’s pretty serious. Martin I’m not comfortable with that you haven’t seen them in years and I haven’t met your girlfriend I’m not comfortable with the meeting them so it should be just you and your family I’m getting a hold of your aunt and your mom so we can set up a picnic but your girlfriend is not invited and if she shows up I will pack the kids up and I will live with them and a story. Well that’s not fair value have your boyfriend with you and they see the kids all the time and I can’t have introduce my girlfriend because you haven’t met her yet how is it any better than I haven’t met yours and he can probably came down with you to Pennsylvania so how is that fair. Well for one Liam is not my boyfriend he’s just a friend and for sucking information it just be me and the kids coming to your aunts or your moms so you can see them I don’t want your girlfriend around them and if she’s around then we will leave I’m telling your family that as well so just be prepared and if you just wanna fight you don’t have to see them at all I’m being nice because technically I don’t have to let you see them. And then I hung up I wasn’t dealing with his crap and he should know better of not pushing my buttons the last time I ended up leaving the state with the kids he’s just gonna end up pissing me off to where I just leave entirely again. After I get off the phone with his Martin’s mom and his aunt we discussed that we were going to have a picnic at his house just like the good old days and his girlfriend is not invited and they don’t like her and if she shows up they will call the cops apparently she is a very bad influence on him and got him back into the drugs and the drinking and they rather just smack her upside the head and deal with her. Martin’s mom told me how much she miss me and how I still part of the family and how she understood why I left with the kids she just misses everybody so much mines aunt said the same thing I can’t believe after everything went down they still rather have me in the family then that random b***h. So it was the day of the picnic as promised Liam and pops did not show up there and hang out with my dad and get things done around the house that I needed help with and talk to him about some stuff they want to talk about no idea what was so I took Liam‘s truck and the kids and we went up to Martin’s aunts Trudy‘s house we get out and we greet everybody from his aunt Sue’s uncles to his great grandmother who were all happy to see me and the children. An hour after we showed up Martin finally decided to grace us with his presence and Long Long and behold his girlfriend was with him and of course I had met his girlfriend she was a girl I did not like and I would not allow her on my children ever so I told his family goodbye I talk to my children up and I’ve got in the truck so I can get ready to leave Martin and grab my arm and slam my back against the truck door. What the hell do you think you’re doing you’re taking my children away and you promised I could see them and they could spend time with my family. I also told you if you brought your girlfriend I will take them away and you will not see them last of the trip we’re supposed to be here for two weeks and I was gonna let you see the kids pretty much whenever you wanted they’re your kids to and I would’ve been more than happy to share them with you but I’m not sharing them with you with a girlfriend around I know who she is I know what she’s into and you know I don’t like her we had problems with her when we were dating and then when we were married I said we still had problems with her and you rest assured that I have nothing to worry about well guess what they’re Martin I do have something to worry about and I’m very very pissed at you and the kids are leaving and if you wanna see them later without your girlfriend you’re more than welcome to see them just get a hold of me and I’ll be more than welcome to bring them by to see you I plan on taking him to the fire hall when he’s days to see everybody I know Teddy misses everybody down there and sodas Elizabeth Elizabeth was just a little lonely left so she might not remember everything but Teddy sure remembers a lot and he misses his friends and his family down here and I would’ve loved for him to spend time with everybody on here but his dad had to be selfish and bring his girlfriend when I specifically asked him not to. I pushed on him and I got into the truck and I proceeded to back away as I look on I see Martins aunt and his mother yelling at him for bringing that piece of trash there they wanted the children are because I haven’t seen them in for a long time and they wanted to spend time with them before they return back to Texas. I heard Martin yell right back that that was his girlfriend and that he was going to spend time with her and bring her around any times they wanted they were going to just bow down to him to the ex because of the kids that fell I needed to get used to it and if she didn’t like it she can just go suck a d**k. Meanwhile his family is yelling at him saying that I follow his family before this piece of trash was this piece of trash isn’t family the Bella Teddy and Elizabeth are we are the family and that we need to be treated as such and if he can’t be nice to us and treat us like we deserve them and he can just leave and they will have nothing to do with him as well as the kids do not have anything to do with him. It’s been a couple days since the picnic I was still very pissed off we’re here for about two weeks I’m already about a week and so I decided I called a far one friend from the fire hall and seeing if it was cool if we came down and I could bring the kids to see everybody and then I proceeded to ask if it was OK if I brought Liam and pops down or at least Liam because I feel really bad that I keep leaving him to do things with family and such and he gets stuck at my dads house all the time or the hotel it’s not fair to him and he didn’t get to say anything or spend time with anybody I hate misses the kids just as much as everybody else because he’s a big part of their lives. Our friend said that was fine and gave me fair warning Martin was there they were going to warn him that he that he would see us if he didn’t want to stay here and have to. I drive all the way down in between a little town called flemington it’s in between Mill Hall and Lockhaven it’s a blink of an eye town if your blank you’re out just kind of town I like. As we pull into the station parking lot and harass everybody was there they definitely miss the kids we go get everybody out and go to the door and the door was unlocked because everybody was hanging out there so we had just walked in Teddy was all excited his favorite thing was the fire hall he love to see the trucks and all the firemen and he misses his family there Elizabeth on the other hand she was clean she didn’t understand anything and she just wanted Mom‘s attention all the way. As we walk in we get bombarded by a lot of firemen there was adoptive Anson on calls and the kids were just so excited I couldn’t wait my final wish there head out the bimbo so he should the kids around the fire hall and us and all the trucks and talk to them about anything I had a question about was really nice to see you being a good dad I always knew we could be fertilizing in the way and I felt really bad about taking the children but I had to make sure that the kids were safe first more than Martin was happy I wasn’t gonna put the kids through it I seem like a deal we’ve dealt with it through my father relationship and it was hard. As our visit was coming to an end we sec goodbyes everybody and headed out the door to the truck to get everybody around Martin has stopped me and wanted to talk for a minute I’ll look at Liam and I asked him to go put the kids in the car and I’ll be right out so as me and him were talking he said he want to take it back together and try to make things worse he would stop all the drinking and the drugs get some help he wanted to be back in the kids life even if me and him weren’t together the kids were his world I miss them so much while they were gone can you call me just wanted to spiral. Mine is nothing for us to work out we are done I put up with your s**t for so long and I can’t stand it anymore and I swear the kids I’ll bring them back for visits eventually I can trust you again you don’t get visitation unless it’s supervised and or my element and I know you don’t like Liam and you don’t like pops because the kids talk about them all the time but they are a big part of the kids life in a big part of my life they’ve helped me since we moved down there. I understand but I understand where you’re coming from and everything I don’t like it but I’ll be in contact with you and I want to see the kids again before you leave. How’s your drive away we head back to the hotel it looks like a good day hopefully Martin learns that he needs to just settle the s**t for the kids.
