A New Day

Chapter Two

Well after looking about on where to mover I packed the kids up again and headed to I place a little outside of Marble Falls Texas. Martin tired yet again to reach us teddy just yelled that he hated his dad and Elizabeth doesn’t know any better but I’d never stop my kids from seeing their dad but right now not by himself. I love my kids to much to hurt them in seeing their dad fall down the road of partying again. They are worth so much more than that I love them so much to see that happen. So just so you know driving form PA to Texas with two kids is not all that fun we did stop and enjoy some of the sites. The kids just loves that they just didn’t like being stuck in the car for so long. Luckily they slept most of the time and I just listened to music and sang along with every word that I know. It’s almost night fall by time we finally got there after about 2 days driving with the kids. I made it as much fun as I could for my babies I even got them some toys they didn’t need just to see their beautiful smiles. We pull up to our new home it’s and log 4 bedroom 2 and half baths good sized kitchen with a bar in the middle. Good size living room and and dining room and the bedrooms are upstairs along with a bathroom in the master room and the kids is in hall in between their rooms. We have a room just for toys the kids will love it and washer and dryer just off the kitchen and between the half bath and the back door we have a basement and even an attic I looks small from the outside just the way I like it. Don’t even get me started about the back yard it’s so big the kids will love it maybe once we got everything settled we maybe can get a horse hopefully. As we park I noticed someone standing on out porch luckily the kids were sleeping I grabbed my 9mm pistol made sure it’s loaded and hide it so they couldn’t see it. I stepped out of the car and slightly towards them. “ Hello who are and you and how may I help you.” “Hello my name James everyone calls me pops I’m the one who owns this place along with my son I just wanted to make sure you came alright and if you needed anything sorry to scare you dear.” “ I’m very sorry but I’m alone with two small children you never can be too careful I would like to thank you and your son for helping us out when we have such little to give back.” “You are very welcome we furnished everything for you since we heard about everything and love to help you and your kids oh we also got you a Guard dog he’s 99% black wolf his name is Bear he’s in my truck waiting for you.” “Oh my thank you so much go get him I can’t wait to meet him I always wanted a wolf dog.” He walked over to get bear I hear growling coming from Bear as pops got to him. He opened the door Bear leaped out and ran to me and the kids making sure we were safe and to get to know us. “ Good boy Bear welcome to our family” I gave him a hug and kiss. Just then pops came back over and Bear growled again I looked at him and told him it’s ok relax and the growling stopped. “May I help you bring the kids in and put them to bed you must be tired.” “That would be great thank you” “I’d like to thank everyone for the help I know you and your son own a bar and club I’d like to make everyone brownies and cookies how many men are there so I know how many to make.” “Well are about 100 men and about 2 girls that are married to the guys and who help out.” “ tomorrow we will go to the store and grab the stuff and bring them by the club. I seen it’s walking distance from here so me and the kids will walk it over while I look for a job.” “Have you ever bar tended before I know you have medical training but not much else.” “Yes I do know how to bar tend I did it for years while I went for my nursing and well having my babies.” “Good you got a job and I’ll babysit the Rugrats for you so no need to worry one bit momma Bear.” Pops just smiled after that which in turn made me smile. Finally got the kids in bed got Bear settled said good night to Pops got ready for bed myself. I went to watch some tv for awhile till I got tired when I hear it I bunch of motorcycles running and sounds of cheering of lots of girls and men luckily it not loud enough to wake the kids. So I walk out on the porch and sat on the swing Bear right beside me making sure we are safe. It’s a little after midnight I finally am tired so I head inside with Bear in toe and we head to bed. The next morning I get breakfast around for Teddy, Elizabeth, and myself I felt like making something special for my babies so I made Mickey Mouse pancakes. I even made a couple special pancakes for our new family member Bear who we already love him so very much. Now that we are done eating I get the kids cleaned up and dress than I get myself around for the day. We are all ready I grab my money and the baby bag I get my keys and we walked to our car. As I get the kids in and all buckled I call Bear to get in the car and I start it up and we heard to the local store to get some food supplies. It’s about a 20 minute drive for us to get to the store we pull in I noticed dogs were aloud so I grab the kids and Bear and we head in. As we are shopping Bear stay close and makes sure no one bothers us I get everything we need for ourselves and to make the treats for the guys. We get back home and Teddy wants to play outside I told Bear to watch and play with him. I went in to put my 8 month old down for a nap and started baking brownies and cookies. Once they were all done and cool I get the buggy out and get the kids around with Bear. We start our walk over with all the goods it’s probably a ten minute walk which is not bad the kids and Bear seem to enjoy it. We about to walk to the door when I heard someone behind us and we hear Bear growling. “Hey do you need help carrying anything in looks like you got your hands pretty full?”
