Two weeks later
VILLA GRAVES
Two weeks have passed since the last confrontation with Khalid and his henchmen. Since then, no attacks on us. One might almost believe we’re living a normal life without dangerous psychopaths wanting us dead.
No news either from Mister X, who hasn’t tried to go after any of us.
Did all the criminals take time off or what? I didn’t know evil took breaks.
The calm before the storm.
My wounds have healed. I still feel some pain and they’re still visible. I needed a lot of rest and several days in bed without moving to make sure I recovered properly.
I feel less weakened. I haven’t regained all my strength yet, but it will come. I consider myself lucky to still be alive.
I spend my time training to make the most of my free time.
