Episode 4

I nodded quickly, then he pushed me to the Alpha. I grabbed his wrist to check his pulse. He still had some, but it was weak. I started gasping for air. I felt like I couldn't lose him, but I was frightened at the same time. It seemed the Beta didn't want to understand; there wasn't much we could do about it. Knowing that, therefore, probably my life was over too, didn't help me either. I tried to calm myself down. I indeed had that power, and it was time for me to use it. I turned to the Beta without looking at him. "Beta, I am asking you with respect. Please leave the room, I cannot help him like this. " "I won't leave him alone with you." But Sister Anne gently held his arm. "Beta, she is very good at healing. I could say she is the best here. If you want your Alpha to get better, then we have to do what she is asking for. And also, you have some wounds that need to be treated." I could feel his killer looking at me. "Don't forget what I told you earlier. If the Alpha dies, I'll take your head without hesitation." He hissed that sentence to me, then he left the room with Sister Anne. I let out a sigh of relief and turned to the Alpha. I put my palm on his face. The rumours were true. He wasn't just handsome; even with his face bloody and pale, I had never seen anyone more beautiful than him. "I'll help you, Alpha." I whispered, and I slowly slipped my hands down his chest. I closed my eyes, and I tried to find out how I could transfer my energy into his body. “Just imagine that like a light that goes into his body by your touch.” Shiloh told me that inside my mind. I did what she said. “It will be fine, just continue.” I did. I don't know how long it took, but I sensed that the Alpha's heart was beating faster. I wanted to let it go, but Shiloh stopped me. “It's not enough yet.” So I continued. I felt weaker and tired quickly, but I forced myself to hold on. And finally, I could feel his body warm up, and his heartbeat was steady. That was the best melody that I have ever heard. “You can let it go now. The Alpha survived.” I opened my eyes and looked at him. His colour came back, too. I caressed his face and I smiled. I tried to remember his eyes. I imagined him smiling at me. "You are safe, Alpha." I whispered, and I felt some pride. I could watch him for hours, but I realised that he was still bloody, and his wounds needed to be cleaned, so I started the procedure. I cleaned his body, and finally, I bandaged his wounds. I felt exhausted, but at the same time, I couldn't have been happier. I saved my Alpha. I was sure hours had passed. I remembered I should tell the Alpha's Beta that he is safe. I caressed his face the last time, and I left the room. As I stepped out, the Beta ran to me like he wanted to kill me. I was drained, and I think it was visible. Probably, he thought that I was sad, as Alpha didn't make it, because he held my neck again, and with incredible power, he pushed me to the wall. I felt a sharp pain in my neck, and I could feel I was out of breath, but I managed to say a few words before he killed me. "Alpha is safe." Just when he understood what I was saying, he let me go and ran into the room without a word. Sister Anne followed him. I slipped down on the floor, and I just held my neck. “He is a jerk, let me beat him for you.” “No, Shiloh, stop it. He is a beta.” “I'm huge and powerful, too. And I won't let this werewolf treat you like that.” “Shiloh, he is a beta; he can treat me the way he wants.” Shiloh growled inside my mind. I could see why, and I prayed to the Moon Goddess to hold Shiloh back, to avoid the Beta hearing me growling. He walked out of the room and came to me. "Healer, you go back and watch him. You cannot leave him for a minute, understand?" I pulled myself up and nodded. "Yes, Beta." And I went into the room. Actually, for an unknown reason, I didn't mind staying with him. I sat in a chair next to him. A few hours passed, and I felt like I couldn't keep my eyes open. I tried to stay awake, but I couldn't manage that any longer. I fell asleep. I opened my eyes to hear Sister Anne whispering. "Aurora, dear, you should stay awake. Can you imagine what would happen if the Beta had come in instead of me?" "I'm just... I'm sorry. I'm just so tired." She shook her head. She knew me well, probably she knew what that Beta put me through. "I'll get you some food. Just stay here and stay awake for the Moon Goddess' sake." I nodded. "Thank you, Sister Anne." Then she left the room. The Alpha was unconscious for another two days. The Beta rudely asked me why he hadn't woken up yet. "That is normal, Beta. He came back from death, and it is also better for him like this. He can’t endure the pain if he is in his senses." " I advise you to tell the truth." "I'm telling the truth, Beta. I'd never dare to lie to you." I always made sure I kept my head lowered. I didn't want to anger him any more. I was waiting for him to jump at me, when we both turned to the direction of the Alpha, as we heard him whimper.
