CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE Unconsciously he touched his lips, reminiscing over how her lips had felt soft and sweet against his and a small contented smile built up his face. That single kiss had told him everything, assured him right there and then he was not the only one feeling the electric attraction between them. All that witty talk and a rather harsh upfront was nothing but a mask. When he'd kissed her, that mask had blurred for a minute or two, her real emotion bared in the swirling pools of brown in her eyes. The ringing of his phone distracted him, Mary's name flashing on the screen. The call pulled him back to reality, reminding him of the state of his life. He picked it up, looking out of the tinted windows of his car. In three hours, he'd be jetting back to England to face the Queen.
