Once my door closed I made my way to the bathroom, I quickly had a shower thinking of all the ways I could show that Marcus wasn’t Kate’s boyfriend. After throwing on some pyjamas and drying my hair I climbed into bed. It never took me long to fall asleep, and tonight was no exception. I was slightly disappointed that I had no dreams that night, not even about my newly found mate. As always, morning came too bright and too early. I groaned, forcing myself out of bed. Just as I finished getting dressed there was a knock at my door. When I opened it I was surprised to find Marcus standing there.
“Hey, Sorry I’m just finishing getting ready.” I say moving aside so that he could come in. Walking in he took a seat on my bed, while I quickly did my hair and put on my shoes.
“Hey, so I just wanted to make sure you’re okay with proving Kate wrong.” I gave him a excited smile,
“Me and Kate don’t really get along, so I’m happy to prove her to be the liar she is. Oh and if you're okay with it I want to take you somewhere for lunch.” It was his turn to give me an excited smile.
“Where will you be taking me?” he asked, I shook my head.
“It's a secret, but it does require you to trust me,” I didn’t need to hear his answer to know that thanks to the mate bond he already does. “Now you should get going, we can’t walk to school together otherwise people will get suspicious.” He pouted at me before standing up, he walked over to me and kissed me. With that he left, giving me a wink as he went. I didn’t have time to wipe the smile off my face before Brie came bounding into my room.
“Judging by the look on your face Marcus was just here,” I groaned, still unable to stop smiling. “I’ll take that as a yes,” I rolled my eyes at her.
“You ready to go?” I asked, already knowing the answer.
“Yep, but I want details,” I mouthed the words as she said them, making her glare at me. Without another word we both left my room heading for the packs high school.
“Spill,” Brie said, when we had made it out of the pack house and I still haven't said a word.
“There’s nothing to spill. He came to my room to make sure that we’ll still be-” I paused, I wanted this to be a surprise. “Meeting for lunch, then he kissed me before leaving.” Brie made a small squeaking noise, clearly trying not to squeal.
“First of all, I don’t believe the lunch excuse and secondly he kissed you,” I nodded, my smile returning at the thought of what had happened. Throughout the first three lessons of the day I could barely focus, all I could think about was what I would do to show that Marcus was mine, and ofcourse Marcus. By the time the fourth lesson was coming to an end I was starting to get nervous. Though any and all worry I had disappeared the moment Marcus walked into the classroom. I took a deep breath, and set my plan into motion when he turned to face the class, or more specifically me. I’d made sure to sit in front of Kate to make it look like he was looking at her, and only we knew better. I stood from my chair and ran to the front of the class, jumping into Marcus's Arms, wrapping my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist. Gasps were heard from almost everyone in the room including the teacher. I was smiling now, feeling the comfort of being in his arms,
“Hey,” I said, before he could answer I smashed my lips against his. Several more gasps.
“I’ll have to add that to my list of school supplies,” He said when the kiss ended.
“You ready to go?” I asked,
“Yep, are you going to tell me where we’re going?” I gave him a wide smile.
“The River Stone clan,” I announced happily, in respMarcus raised both his eyebrows.
“The vampire clan?” I jumped down from his arms, as several more gasps filled the room.
“Yep,” I couldn’t wait to go back. I’d grown up in the River Stone clan, they had a habit of taking in hybrids, orphans and born rouges so that they could have a shot at a normal life.
“Um, excuse me,” The teacher said, reminding me that we weren't alone, “Vampires are dangerous. Neither of you should be going anywhere near them.” I rolled my eyes.
“They’re only dangerous if you provoke them,” I said confidently. “Besides this isn’t entirely a vampire clan. They have hybrids, mystics, wolves and other shifters.” I said the last sentence looking at Marcus, as a way of letting him know how amazing it is there.
“We’ll be fine,” He announced, taking a hold of my hand and leading me out of the school. Once we were outside I brought him over to the forest, looking around to make sure no-one saw I opened up a portal straight to the clan. I pulled Marcus through the portal, instantly a look of awe covered his face. Throughout the hour that we were there we talked, just getting to know each other, occasionally people would bow their heads to me which confused Marcus which made me laugh.
